We absolutely love Horizon Veterinary Care. We have two dogs — a lab and a lab/husky mix — and after moving from Alaska to Washington, we were hoping to find a vet clinic that offered the same level of excellent care. We couldn’t be happier with the experience we’ve had here. Dr. Anna Reading is an incredible veterinarian, and the entire team is just as amazing. Kara, Cobey, and Danielle at the front desk are always kind, helpful, and welcoming, and the vet techs treat our dogs like their own. One of our pups is highly anxious and usually refuses to be handled in a clinic setting, but the team here makes her feel so safe and loved that she actually relaxes — they can even trim her nails, which we can’t do at home because of her temperament. If you’re looking for compassionate, skilled, and truly outstanding veterinary care in Vancouver, WA, Horizon Veterinary Care is the best clinic around. We’re so grateful to have found them and couldn’t recommend them more.

I cannot recommend Horizon Veterinary Care enough! As a pet owner who prioritizes a force-free approach, finding this clinic in Vancouver has been a game-changer. The entire staff is incredibly caring and treats you with genuine respect. My dogs, who usually dislike the vet, absolutely love the team here! The vets are extremely thorough during routine check-ups and make sure you truly understand your pet’s health needs. I especially appreciate that they are willing to discuss concerns over the phone when needed. It’s rare to find a team this compassionate and accessible.

Dr. Haddock, Dr. Reading and team are wonderful humans and providers. They are curious and attentive and have helped us find answers to questions about lingering health needs and care plans. We are exceptionally grateful for their responsiveness and understanding as we’ve navigated urgent events. They are upfront and transparent about options and pricing. Our animals are more relaxed at this clinic than any other we’ve been to before, and it speaks volumes. Cannot recommend this team enough!

I have been looking for a veterinarian clinic since pandemic & have recently had a "not so swell" experience with a clinic closer to home, but am more than happy to drive the extra distance to Horizon. My first interaction was with Danielle over the phone & she was so sweet and helpful that I knew this clinic would be a great fit for us. Dr. Reading has such a warm and caring presence about her, and her staff is friendly and accommodating. She put my mind at ease by patiently answering my questions & concerns & even tested a tumor I was concerned about while we were there. Another small, but sweet gesture, was by Dr. Readings Hubby who stopped to introduce himself & say hello to Sophie. It really is the little things that make a business stand out. Please give them a try, you & your furkids won't be disappointed.

Came to Horizon to get a second opinion on some issues with my cat. Dr. Haddock was wonderful. She thoroughly answered my questions, explained in great detail potential diagnoses, and handled my cat with care. Everyone on the team was very welcoming.
