My family and I wanted to say thank you to the staff at Encanto. Our cat recently had to cross the rainbow bridge, and Encanto was able to see us the same day and help with the process. Upon picking up our cat after cremation my husband and I were so impressed with the urn, paw print, and how nicely and thoughtfully they returned her. You could tell how thoughtful and well they took care of her. It definitely felt like they cared, and recognized her as a part of our family ❤️.
I had been shopping around for a veterinarian and my biggest complaint for others would be that they tend to not give you much time to discuss things with the vet. The other would be feeding off people's emotions to sell as much as possible. At Encanto, the atmosphere was welcoming, they had a photo station where they had a cute backdrop. The veterinarian spend a good portion of time assessing, answering questions, providing guidance and suggestions on prescription dog food (without pressure). I felt that their heart is in the right place. I felt good going in and leaving. I highly recommend this pet clinic.
I really enjoyed the experience of this vet clinic up until Dr. Aaron Ortiz entered the room. It was maybe 8:15am and she already seemed fed up with her job. She was impatient and became visibly frustrated handling my 4month old puppy. I work with my dogs a lot on cooperative care and while I was trying to coach my dog during the exam (Dr. Ortiz was struggling so as a pet parent I stepped in doing what I knew was correct) she said she can’t work with me doing that. This is so unfortunate and disheartening to see from professional practitioner. Every experience counts for puppies/dogs and I want as much positive association as possible with the vet so that we can build on the experience of being handled at future visits. Being forceful and frustrated does the exact opposite. Update: Encanto reached out to me and acknowledged my experience and apologized. I appreciate that a ton.
DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE! I would be very cautious bringing your pet to this clinic. My first dog died after being seen at this clinic 9 months ago. Thinking nothing of this I took my other pomerian in; who was being seen for a runny nose/allergies and she died yesterday, 1 week after getting seen from heart failure! They over prescribe medications to make money on patients visits. If my dog had not taken all those unneccessary pills she would be alive still. DONT DO IT!
We always have a great experience at Encanto. Have brought all of my PACC dogs here. And more recently our cats. They are so kind and helpful.
I've been taking my pets to Encanto for nearly 20 years. The team is trustworthy, caring and professional. I have referred many people to Encanto and will continue to do so. They are the BEST.
I brought my cat Sokka in a couple weeks ago because he was vomiting and losing weight. Thought it was a good idea to get checked out. Decided to take my once feral cat to a new spot, Encanto, as it was close to me and I used to work at their sister property. Dr. Ortiz and her tech Isabel were simply amazing. When what seemed like a routine bloodwork/check to rule out issues turned into something that bordered urgent, they both took time and compassion to keep me updated on what was happening. They consistently apologized for keeping me waiting while they waited for test results - even offered me snacks and coffee. Though many tests were run, the prices were affordable and I appreciate them going over every single thing with me to give me my options. Of course I have to add - I mentioned earlier Sokka was feral when I got him. He is a sweetheart but terrified of strangers. The staff at Encanto absolutely loved him, told me he was snoozin' in his kennel while they repeated temp checks and was overall not stressed at all. I could tell he knew he was in a good place with great people that cared about him. I ended up canceling my follow up appointments, not because I didn't like the experience but because I did take a hit to my credit card, I used to be a CVT and could monitor him at home, and didn't want to put him through the car ride again. I would take him back in a heartbeat for anything else! I took Dr. Ortiz's advice and changed his diet, and for three days now he has kept all his food down and has eaten everything. Thank you team for everything!
