Took my dogs here for vaccinations. The first visit we waited a total of 2 hours. It took them 30 minutes to check us out so than we could leave and the front desk helped multiple customers who had just gotten into line instead of allowing us to pay so that we could leave. We had to come back for a second appointment for a booster vaccination required for boarding our dogs. We arrived on time and were placed in an exam room where we waited an hour while they tried to check us in because their system was down. Ultimately they were unable to check us in and told us we could come back the next day (we were unable to) and then told us that since they scheduled the booster vaccine past the due date for it, we would have to restart the series if we came back any later. This was extremely inconvenient as well as annoying that they could not just vaccinate our dogs. They had already weighed and done the required exam on our dogs but were unable to vaccinate due to not being able to put them as checked in as their system. Additionally we were unable to take our dogs to get the booster vaccine anywhere else as they had already waited to schedule them past the vaccination window. I would not recommend taking your pets here.

If I could give banfield in Hamilton marketplace negative stars I would. Had several issues the last time I brought my dog in and wasn’t compensated and was called back finally 3 weeks later, with a. " we’ll look into it." My dog wasn’t taken out during a drop off visit for a uti, upon pick up she peed all over the floor. A lot of pee. Went in today and asked about the astronomically priced dog food they had me put her on, wanted to make sure it was right… and was told to ask the petsmart employees. Even tho it was 1000 percent a question for the doctor. The petsmart employees didn’t prescribe the prescription dog food Banfield did , and the pet smart that Banfield is inside of doesn’t even carry it. Makes no sense. Take your pets to just about anywhere else they just care about taking your money not making sure your pet is ok!

A single star would be far too generous; zero stars more accurately reflects my experience. I have visited this location twice, the latest on 3/22/2026, and both visits were extremely disappointing, leaving me dissatisfied with the care and service I received. During these visits, I encountered multiple issues that left us concerned about the quality of care being provided. My interactions, or lack thereof, with staff members, including individuals identified to me as Dr. C, Michelle, Jayla, and Kali, were particularly troubling, as I have no way to independently verify the names I was given. I found their professionalism, communication, and overall handling of both customer service and animal care to be well below acceptable standards. As a pet owner, I trust veterinary professionals to treat my animal with compassion, competence, and respect. Unfortunately, my experiences did not reflect those values. The lack of proper care, combined with poor customer service, has caused me to lose confidence in this practice. I strongly urge you to review the conduct and performance of the staff involved and take appropriate action to ensure that other customers and their pets do not have similar experiences.

One of the doctors told me to put my dog down within 3 days . I was so upset so I took her to another vet who told me she needed to get spayed and correct a hernia , now months later she’s thriving. SMH . I had to leave 1 star just to post

I was a little confused, prior trips to Banfield I received a print copy of the details of my pets visit. I did get a call from the Vetnarian explaining things but it went to my voicemail and it was transcribed badly

Do not recommend. We had an appointment scheduled for Sunday at 1 pm to drop off our cat for a simple routine exam and a nail trim. They called us the day before stating to drop him off at 11:45 am because they go to lunch at 1. Okay, fine. We dropped him off at 11:45 as they told us. We did not get a single phone call and it was around 3:30 pm so we headed back over there. Our cat was still not finished and the receptionist seemed extremely overwhelmed. She said to hang around because he would be done very soon. We did not leave out of there until around 4:20 pm (they close at 5 pm!!!) We wasted over 4 hours waiting for what should have been a very simple routine appointment and I'm out of pocket $110 dollars for this. Absolutely insane
