Dr. Michael Duff from Pets First is the top veterinarian in the county, providing urgent veterinary care for your beloved pets. They offer a unique open concept where pet owners can be with their pets while receiving most treatments. This is the only local family-owned urgent care emergency veterinary clinic in Thousand Oaks. Time is precious, and you shouldn’t have to wait up to four hours just to be seen. At Pets First, you can be in and out within two hours. Here’s a list of the services they offer: - Vomiting and diarrhea - Urinary difficulty - Limping - Respiratory difficulty - Dog bites, wounds, and lacerations
Our dog Darcy had a freak accident on Easter and broke her back leg. After being turned away by elsewhere, we found our way to Pets First and Dr. Duff and his team. They were incredibly kind and professional. They acted quickly to get her comfortable and stabilized her leg for the night so we could get her to our regular vet for surgery the next morning. Happy to say she’s now on the road to recovery ❤️🩹 They’ve even taken the time to call two different times to check on her to make sure everything is going well. We really appreciate it! Thank you all!
I was so happy to come across Dr Duff and his amazing staff when my dog needed after hour care this week. They were so attentive and listened to all my concerns. Their open concept hospital allowed me to be with my girl from beginning to end and I was included in every decision along the way. I highly recommend Pets First Veterinary Hospital!
I'm fighting back tears as I write this review. The team a Pets First was just so amazing and supportive when it came time to say goodbye to our sweet puppy (he was 17). They were so kind and gentle and reassuring. They made his passing as beautiful as it could be and the whole time they were so attentive to us (knowing that it was a devastating moment). I have lived that moment over and over in my mind since and every time I think about it, I am comforted by their caring and kindness. Such good people doing hard work, sitting beside us and caring for our buddy all the way to the end. We miss him every minute, but we're so grateful that the Pets First team made his last moments loving and gentle. Truly, this is the team you want in the corner for your dog. Thank you all SO much.
I am incredibly grateful for the professional and compassionate care my dog received. The team was exceptionally accommodating, fitting us in during a stressful time and providing high-quality medical attention. I highly recommend their services to any pet owner seeking a supportive and expert veterinary team.
Thank you, dr. Duff for seeing my cat Lava on memorial day. He was the most caring and loving vet i have seen here. We drove from LA to thousand oaks all the way since all the emergency vets in LA are not as caring and you have to wait hours to be seen. So worth the commute. i am so glad we found him and his amazing team.
Had our first visit at Pets First Veterinary Hospital. We normally go to Skyline Vet which we love, but they were closed. Pets First was amazing. They are open from 12-10, even on Sunday. We got there around 9:30 PM and didn't have to pay any extra fees for the being there on a Sunday night. They were super with our Labrador, Kona. They were very reasonable and conservative with what needed to be done at the moment. The entire staff was loving and caring with our girl. Highly recommend them.
