Northwood Animal Hospital

Brought my ferret into the emergency vet last night and was seen by Dr brown and staff. They took fantastic care of him and he needed to stay overnight. The day staff was amazing as well. They are incredibly kind and compassionate. Thank you for taking such great care of my little dude.

We had to put down our Hershey girl almost 14 years old on 8/3 on a Sunday afternoon. The entire staff was compassionate and gave us our options. They were upfront with costs the entire time. The paw prints are awesome. We had a great experience in a very difficult situation. I would recommend them for an emergency vet service.

My dog was attacked by another dog last night and we tried to bring him here to help save his life. We were turned away at the door saying they "didn’t have a doctor". Why would you be open 24/7 as an emergency vet with no doctor if you can’t help? That makes no sense. The staff was extremely rude during this entire process and didn’t seem to care about the situation. I will never be back here…. Emergency or not.

My five pound furbaby was hit by a car. I live 45 minutes away and did not think he was gonna make it. Within 2 hours at Northwood Animal Hospital, he was stabilized and on the docket for surgery at Capital Veterinary Associates. He is doing great! Thank you!!!!

Had just gotten my kitten and he was sick, and they were able to see him the very evening I got him home. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The rate for the after-hours visit. My kitten is doing so much better. Thank you!

Northwood saved my baby girls life and I am forever grateful! My little Maltese stepped in a fire ant pile and hundreds swarmed her biting putting her into anaphylactic shock which was getting worse by the minute as we frantically drove to the ER. Not being from the area I had to quickly find the closest one and I’m so grateful this was where we went. We called ahead and they were waiting when we pulled up, her whole body was limp and shutting down she was losing oxygen, every minute counted and they were right there ready to take her and run her back. All of the doctors and techs were so caring and thorough, keeping us in the loop and allowing me to make judgement calls. Because she had to stay for 24 hours and has extreme anxiety they allowed us to come visit with her in a room with no questions asked and were so sweet. Some of the techs were so loving to hold and pet here during this time because it was so hard on her. I will say I maybe would have liked a little more info in the epinephrine being standard and possibly the difference between her staying alive or not. I declined it because of her heart issues but if I thought she could die without it I would have agreed. Thankfully she didn’t need it, and bounced back without it. I’m also not a fan of pulling blood from the jugular vein but maybe in the moment that was the easiest way, I don’t know. My only negative feedback would be the two older ladies running the front desk, they were less than pleasant and just acted annoyed. Everybody else was fantastic! From a cost perspective it’s an ER so that bill is never fun, but I didn’t feel they pushed anything that wasn’t necessary and didn’t price gouge. Even my regular vet in Tampa commented on how incredible they did saving her life after reading the note. My vet used to work at Blue Pearl so that says a lot. Should you ever need a hospital for your baby in Tally, I would not hesitate to go here. Highly recommend
