Urgent and regular care. Excellent Staff and Veterinarian Doctors. They understand not everyone can afford every test/treatment so they explain each one and explain the price....very considerate of their customers. I felt our "pitty" received excellent care (I am a Nurse) with the necessary interventions. She had surgery also, well done (surgeon has almost 30 years experience) with no issues. I really think highly of this place even though it's not our "Baby's" regular Vet, but I will definitely come back here if need be. Also....my Vet had no opening for 3 days and this place saw her within 2 hours! Very happy with them!
Super knowledgeable and friendly staff. Pricing is very good and we have never been let down by their service. My dog had two surgeries through them and both times they were patient and answered all my questions. Hands down the best vet we have ever had.
I have visited Wellcare several times between my four dogs. Dr. Brar, Rachael and the entire staff are absolutely amazing. So much so my pets actually get excited when realizing that's where we are going. We are always met with kindness and compassion when we go there. We have never seen another provider there and we won't as Dr. Brar takes great care of my pets! I appreciate all they do.
Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. 🐾💙 My dog Goose had abdominal surgery to remove a mass, and everything went smoothly the surgery, the recovery, and the overall care were outstanding. Then, of course, life happened: Goose accidentally opened his stitches at home. I called the clinic in a panic, and they calmly asked if I could be there in 30 minutes. When I arrived, they took him back immediately, clearly explained exactly what they were going to do, fixed him right up, and had us on our way in no time. The caring manner and gentle nature of the entire staff meant more to me than I can say. I’m a high-anxiety person, and Goose is too but he was completely at ease the whole time. He didn’t even need sedation. The tech told me he did amazing, and I could genuinely tell how comfortable he was with everyone, which says everything about the kind of people they are. Dr. Brar is an incredible veterinarian, and it’s so clear that this team truly cares about their patients. I am beyond grateful and very happy to be part of the WellCare family. Highly, highly recommend. 🐶✨
I want to thank the team at Wellcare for always being so courteous and up front about what was going on with our little dog Cooper and helping us take care of him. We had some tough times this past year as he was diagnosed with diabetes and bladder stones. The entire team was always friendly and worked to get us scheduled in when it was needed. Last week was so difficult as he was in his final stages of fighting the good fight. Dr Kane and staff were so professional and helped us get through it and we appreciated that genuine true care we had from them in a very difficult moment. Thank You!
Dr. Brar has changed my expectations of vets. I rescue large breed & challenging dogs from time to time and train them for personal use. In many cases they have been neglected or abused, and not familiar with veterinary care so it can be challenging. I have had vets tell me they will only provide certain medical care with anesthesia, even when it was not necessary. I called around looking for new vet care and for someone who would give my girl the help she needed for an infection without subjecting her to risky anesthesia. Dr. Brar understood immediately and has been so amazing in not only the care offered, but the hands on tactics he allows me to use along side his team to get the results we need without anesthesia (when possible). I finally feel like I have the team I need to continue to provide the proper care for my dogs. All of his staff is amazing as well.
I tried to write this without sounding emotional, but the reality is that I am frustrated with this clinic, for good reason. My partner & I are experienced, proactive pet owners with four animals (two cats & two rescued dogs). Our pets are family. We never hesitate to invest in their care, as long as we are given clear, honest information to make informed medical decisions. This was our first & only experience with WellCare Animal Hospital, & we will not be returning. On the night of our visit, the staff were kind & compassionate while our cat was clearly distressed. However, after we left & paid the bill, the clinic demonstrated a pattern of inconsistent explanations & deeply concerning communication failures. We brought our cat in for vomiting & appetite loss. He has a documented history of ingesting foam, which was communicated multiple times & is reflected in the clinic’s own radiology report. Despite this, the clinic recommended sedation & x-rays without explaining that x-rays are limited in their ability to detect foam, & that ultrasound would be a more sensitive option. We were not informed of these limitations until after our cat had already been sedated & imaged. Had we been given this information beforehand, we would have made a different decision. We were charged nearly $800 for sedation & imaging that the clinic later acknowledged could not meaningfully detect the suspected issue. When we sought clarification, the explanation repeatedly shifted, from initially suggesting foam had not been communicated, to stating that even if it had been known, the same approach would have been taken, despite their own documentation showing that foreign body ingestion & foam were considered prior to imaging. Equally concerning was the change in tone after we asked questions. While staff were kind during the visit, the response afterward felt defensive & dismissive rather than transparent or collaborative. For context, we want to highlight what exceptional veterinary care looks like based on our experiences elsewhere. North End Pet Hospital in Proctor is our primary vet, & we could not recommend them more highly. Their team consistently provides compassionate care, clear communication, & honest information that empowers pet owners to make thoughtful decisions. We have also had emergency care at Summit Veterinary Referral Center, where we learned our dog had cancer & ultimately had to say goodbye. Their team was transparent, humane, & deeply respectful during an impossibly difficult moment. Both North End Pet Hospital & Summit Veterinary demonstrated the integrity, communication, & accountability pet owners deserve, standards that WellCare failed to meet in this situation. We attempted to resolve our concerns directly with the clinic before writing this review. Our goal is not to attack individuals, but to warn other pet owners about the lack of clear, consistent communication around expensive & invasive procedures. We will not be returning to WellCare Animal Hospital. TL;DR: If you value honest communication & informed consent before costly procedures, this is not the clinic I would trust with your pet. UPDATE TO ADD: Within 2 weeks, Axle was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma at a different clinic, one that explained all options and cared for my family and I (see above references). He has since passed away. WellCare failed my baby and I in so many ways.
