We have had a great experience with Noah’s place with our dog and cats. Everyone there is friendly, helpful, and makes our nervous dog feel comfortable! Can’t say enough good things!
After finding a 5-month-old kitten out on the streets, I ended up adopting her after the rescue told me the owner did not want the kitten. I recently brought in my kitten for a wellness check and history check, I was quoted nearly $600 for multiple vaccines in one visit, I felt uncomfortable with both the cost and the recommendation to give my kitten five shots in one day without much discussion about spacing them out. It felt more like an upsell than a conversation focused on her specific needs. I provided documentation of the vaccinations she had already received from the rescue, but I was told they "weren't effective" because she was young at the time. In the end, I only agreed to the rabies vaccine. They also did an anal temperature and they were really harsh on my kitten, after we got home her area was severely red and puffy, she started to have loose stools around the house since that visit. Overall, the staff was polite, but I did not feel supported or confident in the care plan being recommended. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
We took our Lab in for his annual heartworm checkup. Shortly after we ordered his heartworm medicine from chewy.com. Another week passed and I checked on the status of our order and chewy said they had never received his prescription from Vca. We called Vca to ask why it hasn't been authorized and they assured me that it had been approved. 2 weeks later chewy cancelled the order because they still haven't received the prescription. We then ordered his medicine from bandana rx and called Vca to ask if they could make sure they sent the prescription right away. Another week passed I called bandana to see what the delay was and they said that they never received the prescription. The next day Vca called us and asked which one should they authorize chewy or bandana. The chewy request was now over 1 month old and had already been cancelled by chewy because it was never authorized. Bottom line, we will be going to another vet from now on.
My son David Lee yelped when I picked him up. I was so frantic I couldn’t focus on anything other than getting help for him. I got online and read the reviews for VCA Noah’s Place. Made the appointment online, from the second I walked in I was greeted with looks of concern for my son. Wait time was short, Rachel and MD Kimpfer were EXCELLENT! MD Kimpfer assessed him with ease and provided me with information and of course everything needed to help him feel better. I was so impressed with the care I decided to continue to bring him here. The cost was very affordable, they didn’t suggest anything that wasn’t needed. If you are looking for a place for your fur child look no further!
Very frustrating experience. I brought my dog in specifically to discuss grooming for a very anxious dog. He’s a rescue I adopted about 6 months ago and was told at the time that he was up to date on all vaccinations (rabies, bordetella, influenza, etc.). I was told they could work with him one-on-one and followed all instructions, including giving him medication ahead of time. They also gave me a list of services and vaccinations, but those were presented as recommendations—nothing in the paperwork said they were required before grooming. When I showed up for the appointment, there was confusion about my visit, and then I was told—for the first time—that I’d need to pay over $500 for additional shots before they would even do a simple grooming. If that had been clearly explained from the beginning, I wouldn’t have wasted time, stressed my dog, or come back. Really disappointing communication and a very frustrating experience overall.
I have been taking my pets to Noah’s for a couple years now & they have always been a pleasure. Everyone I’ve come in contact with has always been super polite & kind, from our pets end of life , to puppy vaccines & check ups they have always treated them professionally & given the correct treatment. I would most definitely recommend the great care they give your pet. Thank you all for everything over the years 🙂 stay awesome!
They were great with my new skittish foster cat. I have had her with me for a month and she is now overweight! She needs to lose two lbs. They even gave me presents in a VCA gift bag when we left. Kitty was not traumatized when we left and came home. I highly recommend them. The vet was excellent and vet tech Bradley was the best I have ever seen!
