Animal Medical Clinic (St. Paul)

I happily drive all the way across town for this clinic! I am so impressed with the professionalism and care extended to me and my pug. We've been coming for several years and I always leave feeling at ease about the care we receive, the fair pricing, and the knowledge I leave with. We've done dental exams, tooth extractions, vaccine updates, routine annual physicals, and even a couple emergency appointments after my pug got sick. I am so thankful for the team. Animals are our family and they take their jobs super seriously.

I'm sad to say I had a terrible experience with this clinic. My beloved pet was ailing, and they misdiagnosed her. I reported that the treatment wasn't working. They emailed me her records and told me to go elsewhere. She died in urgent care not long after. It was an awful, heartbreaking experience.

The team at Animal Medical Clinic took great care of my cat post-surgery. They kept him for 2 days after surgery to ensure a successful outcome, and I was shocked to see that the cost of the 2-night stay was really, REALLY affordable! I was expecting to see 3 figures for a 2-night stay, but it was a low 2-figures, instead. Whew! They clearly love animals, and took wonderful care of my boy. They followed up to make sure he was back to himself a few days later, also. Fantastic care!

Incredibly pleasant staff. The nurses were fantastic with our pup and took care of everything. They were quick and efficient with shots and testing. They also don't try and sell you, they tell you the facts.

Absolutely unprofessional I was instructed to hold my dog down with one hand and use my other hand to hold the needle for the iV while the the main vet sat there and squeezed the IV bag her assistant stood there with an expression of distress and concern ( did not act or assist with this ) . Where is it common practice to have the dog owner hold the dog down and hold the needle in place with the other hand!?!?!? Keep in mind my dog is extremely submissive and was NOT putting up a fight. ( iV was for dehydration from puking and diarrhea for 2 days ) The bag squeezer had to readjust the needle twice. She pulled the hair on the dog... she did not grab deep for the extra skin. She pulled on the ends of my dogs hair out far enough to readjust the needle... This was one of three issues I experienced at this unprofessional clinic. I was told to not be surprised if she does not drink any water the rest of the night because the iV will hydrate her. As soon as we got home my dog drank over 12 oz. Of water immediately she weighs 53lbs but weird how she was still so thirsty even after the iv. Regardless The service provided was unprofessional and disappointing. This is 1 of the 3 issues I experienced at this clinic in my first time visit.

This place goes above and beyond. Literally the kindest staff EVER who clearly really care about animals and love what they do. From the front desk to the doctors, they all treat you and your pet like family + they really listen to your concerns and give you honest feedback without the scare tactics and we trust them with our doggo. They are prompt in their replies and follow ups and you don’t feel lost in jargon you don’t understand. They break things down really well for you and explain things thoroughly. The prices seem reasonable + they don’t upsell you on things you truly don’t need. We’re customers for life. It’s made the vet anxiety so much less for us and we owe that entirely to the staff here. Thank you!!!

They are so nice! Highly recommend. So quick. They call quickly, answer the phone, put you on hold for a min, or call back right away. So friendly to work with. The parking is a little hard to find around the back in the alley, but quite a few spots. Also spots "after construction is done" on snelling in front too.
