Angel Animal Hospital Of Southgate

I have been taking my dog here for eight years and they have always treated her and me with respect and compassion. A lot of these negative reviews seem to have one thing in common, and that is a lack of understanding that these people are human and sometimes they make mistakes. In all the years that I have been coming to this location, the doctor and his staff have always been very kind hearted and caring individuals. My anxiety is such that whenever my dog is off, I’m a nervous wreck and the doctor does everything in his power to immediately calm me down. I highly recommend this facility and its staff, they know what they’re doing, they are the experts and you can trust them.

This place is an utter joke. The Doctor has a massive ego problem , pushes additional services on customers and treats his employees like garbage and is constantly disrespecting them. Not to mention has a clinic that has nobody licensed outside of the doctors actively working on your pets. He frequently changes pricing and overcharges compared to most clinics.

I'm very grateful for the people of Angel animal hospital. My senior pug fell down the stairs and wasn't moving much. I brought her in immediately for an appointment and was referred to a product trial called librella. This recommendation has saved my dog's life. She has healed and has not had this much energy or personality in at least 4 years. The staff here is outstanding getting us in and out in under 10 minutes most times. I cannot say enough great things about the staff here. Thank you!

EDIT: adding photos in light of the vet's response. To be clear, I am not upset about the quality of the shave, I am upset that they cut my cat's whiskers and tried to tell me that they didn't. Don't bother. I brought my cat in for a shave down and they cut her whiskers terribly. When I brought it up to the vet, he denied that they'd cut her whiskers. When I told him I had photos of my cat from before and after the procedure, he denied that it was a problem and that cutting whiskers was not detrimental to the cats well-being. Will not be returning.

This is an AWFUL PLACE TO BRING A PET. They are dismissive, rude, and uninterested in the care for your animal. They have no sense of urgency, and have no integrity, THEY WILL RUN TESTS WITHOUT YOUR APPROVAL. Truly horrible place, I hope nobody ever brings a poor creature here again as long as its open.

This place is amazing my dog's ears were so infected and they completely worked with me on the price handmade the treatment plan affordable it's only been 3 days and my dog is so much better thank you

I brought my three month old English bulldog puppy in here for A normal check up which included shots and bloodwork. They said his blood work was all great and he was a healthy puppy even though I expressed his harsh breathing, which concerned me, fast-forward three weeks later when he just dropped on my living room floor I rushed him back to the angel animal Hospital. They did an x-ray on him and he had severe pneumonia. and could barely breathe on his own. So the vet had me come back over the duration of three days and his condition was getting worse and worse, which those three days cost me $950 so I took him to a different vet which then told me that this dog had been suffering from severe anemia from birth, which could’ve been a contributing factor for the pneumonia which angel animal hospital should’ve caught because we had blood work done. The other vet actually called to get his blood work that was drawn from Angel animal Hospital and to ask why he would do the treatment that he did on the puppy, knowing that it was not going to benefit him in any way shape or form. It was just a money grab. luckily, Southgate Animal Hospital was able to help him through a long scary process. This whole situation could have been prevented, if not for a negligent vet. They really should be ashamed of themselves.
