I found a Belgian Malinois with no collar or chip that had been hit by a car and left on the street on Wednesday 9/17. Thankfully, a few strangers and I were able to get her into my car, and I brought her to VCA TLC Pasadena. Since she wasn’t my dog, the staff were upfront in explaining that I’d need to take financial responsibility if I wanted all of her injuries treated. They explained how everything would work and were clear in the estimates of care that might be needed. I chose to move forward with it, and I’m so glad I did. Because of their help, she’s on track to make a full recovery and will now live a long happy life with us. I’m very grateful to the entire staff for all of their support this whole time. I started posting about her recovery journey on my TikTok @deannawemmer and the response there has been amazing. So grateful to you guys for making that possible for us and helping us take in another family member <3
Our beautiful doggy was sick. She wouldn't come when we called her. She would cry by herself at night. We would whimper when she ran. She was not herself and we were devastated as to what was wrong with her! We decided to take her here for care. The wonderful vet helped us tremendously! She diagnosed her with a sprained ankle and we got a treatment plan with pain medicine. Today our beautiful Pebbles is back to her loving adorable self!!! Thank you VCA Pasadena ❤️
I brought my cat Misti here today after her first bout of urinary issues, and they were so so helpful! I was able to get all of the testing that I wanted done to rule out everything but the culprit, and they’ve been in great communication with me about Misti and always are there to answer questions over the phone super kindly and respectfully. I love this vet- they cured my fear of emergency animal hospitals, I’ve had very sad experiences at them before and this is a place where you can tell they truly care. If you’re looking for somewhere to take your cat who means the world to you- this is a great place! They have so much testing on site and are very very transparent about price, they’ll print you an invoice of proposed services and go through it with you to work with your budget and preferences. I’m just incredibly grateful that I found this great VCA location close by. I’ll definitely be back if Misti’s issues recur, and if not I’ll sleep better at night knowing they are ten minutes away:) THANK YOU GUYS!!!🥹🥹🥹🩷🩷🩷
They are honest, compassionate, and reasonable. I’m not sure what all these people are talking about concerning being extorted for money for their pets health and safety. Dr. Barnes was so patient and thorough with explaining what was needed to be done and coming up with a solutions that was $2500 cheaper than the affordable vet clinic I was scheduled to have the procedure at. I had another emergency with another animal, and they truly worked with me for cost. (Thank you Dr. kim and Nicolette)🌟 That same animal is being worked on by the BEST, which is Dr. Davis💖 for surgery😷 I drive an hour to come to this place because they care about my pets. They’re well-versed with what they do and their prices are competitive for other clinics. FACTS! Things are just more expensive now and just because it’s cheaper doesn’t mean it’s better and just because it’s more expensive doesn’t mean it’s a higher quality. These people (front desk, Techs, Grounds Keepers AND Doctors) are truly here doing the best they can for the client and it’s not fair to attack them based on how you’re feeling instead of the actual facts.
My dog had a mass in her uterus. Dr. Little operated her, kept me informed during and after the procedure. They returned some of my deposit after finding one of the tests wasn't needed. The costing was transparent and fair. This was a scheduled procedure, not an emergency.
When our senior dog's kidney issues became too complex for his regular vet, we were referred to a "criticalist" at VCA TLC. The visits were informative but exorbitantly expensive. Front desk staff was hit or miss, I never knew if we were going to be treated normally or like an annoyance. We had to administer fluids at home, special meds, expensive thing after expensive thing – all while watching our poor dog decline. We were told we needed to talk to a cardiologist to get the amounts right for his fluids, who we never heard back from. VCA never once helped coordinate or try to make a harrowing time any easier. When it became clear our beloved dog was having his last day with us, we called. All they said was to give him cerenia for his stomach. He passed away at home later that night. As of writing this, our dog has been gone for over a year and we never received any kind of follow up from his vet Dr. Barnes or anyone from this practice. I sincerely regret placing my dog's life in their hands.
Maureen Roberts is one of the worst vets I’ve ever met. Pet owners go to the emergency vet and pay the ridiculous prices because they are worried about their pet and Roberts can’t care less. She gets extremely annoyed if you ask one question even though not everyone understand medical terms. I asked what is the normal range for the blood work and she replied with "I don’t know what that means." Don’t expect her to spend anytime with you. She will come into the room and jot down the symptoms and leave. Not even a minute in the room. She absolutely does not want to be there. The prices are incredibly high as well. This wouldn’t be as much of an issue if our loved ones get good treatment. Be wary of what she tells you to push you to go for the expensive tests and treatments. I only say this because what she said and what the reports indicated are not the same but use your best judgment for your pet. The only upside about this place is that front desk and vet techs are nice. There’s also little to no wait compared to other emergency vets (I guess there’s a reason why).
