GoodVets Silver Spring

GoodVets was a life saver today. My baby DaVash (honey in English) eyes were really swollen after lunch with a light discharge. I called in mid afternoon and although they were booked they were able to squeeze her in with a 5:30 pm appointment. They were very gentle with my baby. She was in very good hands and they even gave my daughters chips although they couldn’t eat them because they weren’t kosher. The thought and gesture was genuinely appreciated. My baby DaVash still won’t let anyone cut her nails they were patient.

EDIT: This place *still rocks*. I'm impressed with how thorough, communicative, and even fast they were getting our needs handled in the first visit. They have some particulars around scheduling but were able to accommodate me even with last minute changes. They also taught me things about my dog that I didn't even know--and I've had him for 7 years now. Special shout out to Dr. Hawkins and Tech Specialist Avril. And another thank you to Jay for working with me on scheduling, despite all the challenges. Helpful practice.

I had such a wonderful experience at GoodVets with my pup Naomi! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such warmth and kindness. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and Naomi was even treated to some healthy snacks right at the door—which she loved! The facility itself is incredibly clean, well-organized, and calming. It gave me immediate peace of mind. The team was not only professional but also extremely informative. They took their time explaining every detail about Naomi’s visit and care options, without ever making me feel pressured to make any decisions or pay for anything unnecessary. I really appreciated that transparency and compassion. Everyone was so sweet to Naomi, and it was clear they truly care about the well-being of their patients. She was happy, relaxed, and loved all the attention. Honestly, I left feeling confident that I’ve found our new forever vet home. I love this new vet in downtown Silver Spring! I brought my beagle here. They were so kind, knowledgeable, transparent and right on top of everything. This is what you need when your animal is not feeling good-reassurance, a professional vet team and fantastic customer service. Thank you!!! 😊

My wonderful companion of 19 years Willow crossed the rainbow bridge a week before Christmas. GoodVets were so kind and caring. My husband and I chose private cremation and the team were wonderful. They called and left a vm for me to collect her and later in the week I recieved a card that the staff had all signed. Such compassionate and thoughtful people.

My cat, like many, gets pretty anxious at the vet, but the staff here were very understanding of her tolerance and did all the required shots and blood work very quickly with minimal drama. She's a tortie though, so of course there was SOME drama. Very clean, brand new facility in a great central location. Downtown has been needing a vet!

Recently switched here from my long time vet, and this place is incredible! Clean, quiet, outstanding staff, and Dr. Hawkins was amazing. Just a great and non-stressful experience for my recently adopted dog. On top of that, excellent and transparent pricing. Best in the area. I highly recommend Dr. Hawking and Good Vet.
