As a military spouse, I've lived in a lot of places and I've been to countless veterinarians. We've been here in Shreveport for 4 years now, and I am devastated to leave because I know we will not find another team who loves our babies as much as Southern Hills has. Dr. Brown was the first doctor to get my dog's multiple allergies under control and improve his quality of life. We knew she was amazing even before my best bud was diagnosed with a spindle cell sarcoma in his back right leg. Dr. Brown put in every effort to make sure we made an educated, safe decision for my dog. We chose to amputate, and he has made a full recovery. I am infinitely impressed with Dr. Brown and the staff at Southern Hills! The surgery went smoothly, and the incision site healed in record time. There was expert level post-op pain management and care instructions. I genuinely cannot think of a single criticism about the care we received. In addition to the incredible skill involved with the procedure/treatment, they also managed to make us feel loved and in their thoughts always. Thanks to Dr. Brown, we've just celebrated 9 beautiful years with my best friend. You could not ask for a better vet!

Absolute worst customer service and Vets in town. I've been taking my dogs here for 7 years and have given every chance possible. I've seen Bell, Brown, Stewart and Everson and you get subpar service with all of them. The staff is always rude no matter the situation.

So far no complaints, great staff; friendly service very helpful and polite. My 🐕 doesn't like getting shots like me, but she ok w/ the staff as long as she gets treats. She doesn't have a problems voice her opinion, like her mother. She's a little diva. Thanks have a blessed day 🙏😇.❤️

Dr. Brown and the whole southern hills staff is the best! They loved on my cat & were so kind.

We've lived in town for 3 years and just getting ready to move and I must say, I will really miss this vet. Their entire staff, from the front desk to the doctors on staff, are nothing short of spectacular. Always greeted with a warm smile and never feel like it's a revolving door of care. They've been with us through the loss of one of our babies and taken care of two new puppies as they've grown. Dr Everson exemplifies care and you can genuinely sense that he not only loves animals but loves his job and what he does. We have always felt our dogs were in great care, they are never pushy, honest with their advice, and focus on what you need and not what is just going to drive more profit. Top notch care -- highly recommend!

We have always loved this place and the people. They are very personable and they take your animals very seriously! They have done multiple major surgeries on multiple pets of ours and everything has worked out fine but keep in mind... If it does not work out for your loved pet, they did the best they could, and I can almost guarantee that. They are great people and this is a great office!

Use to be good but has really gone down since DR. Torrez left. Always have to wait an hour plus even with appointment. Stopped offering services due to understaffed and didn't let us know. Tried to charge us for no show for boarding when we have never boarded our dogs anywhere. Couldn't even tell us when it was supposed to be just wanted us to pay $50. Last straw was losing puppy hour after being there. Told them mom hadn't produced milk and puppy hadn't had anything in almost 48 hours. Told was unnecessary to supplement or for them to give fluid that mom would produce eventually. Puppy died hour after getting home. They are so understaffed that their care has gone down big time. We moved to South Park Animal Hospital & very pleased with their services.
