I managed to get my dog in for an orthopedic consultation super quickly, and he was set for TPLO surgery the very next day! Everyone I worked with was incredibly professional and genuinely cared for my dog and our needs. I’m so happy to say my boy is recovering well and will be back for their rehab services.

Our 4 yr old pit mix had knee problems and we had to have tplo surgery. We were really debating on if we should do that or PT because of the cost. Ended up going through and getting surgery on both legs. The staff was very helpful and friendly caring for our puppy. It’s been 2 years and the surgery is worth every penny!!! Our dog got back her puppy playfulness and energy we have not had to give her a pain med and she is just a very happy dog. The surgery is not cheap at least it wasn’t for us but if we had to do it again I would not hesitate and get it done right away.

Our now 7-year-old Poodle suffered a sudden knee injury in April of this year and could barely use that anymore. We brought him to Dr. Alex Aguila who quickly identified the problem and explained the surgery our pup should undergo. He helped us understand its efficacy as well as the pros and cons, expected recovery time, and approximate costs. We left feeling very confident that our boy would be in good hands for this procedure. Prior to the surgery we were given detailed information about the recovery process, instructed on how we could ensure it was as smooth and painless as possible, and given contact information in case we had any questions or concerns afterward. Everyone at the office took great care of him for the surgery and his overnight stay, and he was so happy when we picked him up the next day! The recovery timeline was nearly exactly as they'd described it and we saw steady improvement over the following weeks. We're now almost four months post-op and our Poodle is back to his old self - wild and excitable, standing and running on that leg like nothing happened, and confident in his usage of the knee that he could barely use before the procedure. Dr. Tan was so incredible to work with and helped Benji get back to full usage of his back left leg! I brought Benji in for a consult and Dr. Tan gave me all my options and patiently answered all my questions. He was not pushy at all which made me feel at ease given TPLO surgery is quite expensive. Dr. Tan did the procedure on Benji with no complications and called me to update me when it was done. Benji has chronic bronchitis and Dr. Tan made sure to have a certified anesthesiologist on hand for the procedure given this was a major concern of mine. Following the anesthesia Benji had some progressive coughing issues and Dr. Tan called me back same day after I emailed a video of my concern. He wrote me a prescription to suppress the coughing, and when I couldn’t find a pharmacy to fill it because it was a non common human medication he found one that was able to fill it for me. He and his team went truly above and beyond to make sure Benji was recovering comfortably even though some of the symptoms were a result of anesthesia and not the implant. It shows they truly care about the full well being of your fur baby. We just finished his 8 week check in and Benji is fully recovered and I’m so happy I took the leap of faith and did the procedure with Dr. Tan and his team, they were truly the best.

We’ve brought our dog here for both his ACL surgeries and highly recommend. Dr Aguila and all the staff are wonderful and checked in by phone at multiple points (calling right when he finished surgery, the next day, etc). You can tell they they love animals and take great care of all the pets they see.

My 9 month old kitten Dirt bike fractured his hip, and was recommended by the emergency vet to get FHO surgery. After calling multiple places with no luck of getting him in quickly, Animal Surgical was ready to get us in the next day for a consult. Dirt bike was able to get the surgery done the same afternoon, after the consult. Dr. Rappa and the team are so wonderful and caring, and made sure we knew every step of the way what was happening and how Dirt bike was doing. They made me feel at ease during a very stressful situation. Dirt bike is now two weeks post op and doing wonderful. I'd trust any of my fur babies to go here! Highly highly recommend 🙂
