Went in last week when my dog was under the weather. The vet tech warned me that the vet would probably want to do blood work and test for pancreatitis. Something they’ve never suggested when I’ve brought my dog in for diarrhea before. I thought surely after the vet looked at her he would decide that wasn’t necessary. Nope. Not even 5 minutes later he calls and says he NEEDS to run blood work and pancreatitis test ($300+). Mind you, her only symptom that matched pancreatitis was diarrhea. Declined and took her to a different Banfield location the next day who didn’t want to run any tests or even give her medication because she seemed totally ok. After a few days of a bland diet she was back to normal! Seems suspicious too me. Lucky we didn’t fall for it. We do like Banfield and the wellness plan and the convenience of what they offer but this is your warning to be careful before accepting any test the vet throws at you.

For the record, everyone was polite & courteous, professional, pleasant, & welcoming. However, my 20 lb. young dog found the experience so traumatic that you felt compelled to prescribe for her sedatives / tranquilizers... In my entire looong life, I'd never before ever had one of my dogs react like that to a vet visit. Something spooked her...[perhaps it could have been the sight and/or smell of the large, deceased dog that was carried in on a stretcher...in all candor, that freaked me out a bit !] Nevertheless, I defer to my young dog's instincts; therefore, we won't be back; won't be participating in your Optimal Wellness Plan [which did seem to be Banfield's priority as I found mentioned as the basis for several class action lawsuits filed against Banfield]..., Moreover, in 3 round trips there / back within a mere 6 hours that day, I did catch a momentary glimpse of the vet, but never once got to meet nor speak with him for even a moment. Best wishes, & happy Thanksgiving to all...good luck...

The staff was very welcoming and kind. My dog was trembling when I brought her in to be vaccinated and totally calm when I picked her up. Coco had a recent back injury and was acting so distant she didn't want to sit on my lap or sleep with me. The vet explained that because dogs are pack animals, they don't want others to know when they're hurt because it makes them look vulnerable. Hence, they separate themselves until they've healed. That reassured me and explained a lot about my pup's behavior. In a few days she was back to her normal, cuddly self.

I wanted to say thank you to all the vets and front desk staff for just making me feel very comfortable leaving my sick pup with them. I felt very heard as I was panicking on the phone and they managed to fit my dog into their busy schedule. I’ll have to edit this once I get the names of the employees that helped but I feel very grateful and didn’t want to forget to thank the staff as my dog is now back to her happy, healthy, annoying self again haha

The whole staff took such great care of us. The vet tech and the vet were both so great to work with. Great experience for my first time using Banfield.

The front desk staff was very unhelpful today. My appointment was at 5:30 pm and I was standing at the desk waiting to check in at 5:38 pm. The front desk girl had told me I was late and there was a 10 minute grace period. I then told her I was standing there at 5:38 waiting to be checked in. She then told me the doctor had left early for the day. Why have a 5:30 pm appointment if the doctor left early? Then a tech came to the front desk and she kept saying there is "sometimes" a 10 or 15 minute grace period. In the past I have ran a little late to appointments for Kilo but the front desk staff always told me I never needed to call and there was always a 15 minute grace period. The front desk staff was very unhelpful and needs to learn their protocols and policies. You cannot say there is a grace period "sometimes", when in the appointment policies it states there is a 15 minute grace period.

This place was amazing! Our tech Sam took the time to listen to my concerns with Zeus’s condition. She expressed them with Dr. Jablonski (since it was a drop off appointment)! The appointment went great, far better than it did at the Banfield Elliott store! Hopefully We don’t have to go back too soon, but I will definitely consider this our "home" Banfield from now on! Thank you to the wonderful staff, Sam, and Dr. Jablonski ❤️ Thank you Gail and Zeus
