I truly can’t thank VEG ER enough for their services. My 8-year old lab started vomiting profusely for over 12 hours. They were constantly in communication with me and I could feel how much the staff cared about my dog and his needs. The staff handled him with such care and compassion. He required a GI surgery and I was able to sit outside the door while they updated me about every 30 minutes. I loved the open concept of the hospital and appreciate how much everyone seemed to be working alongside each other effortlessly. While I waited for my dog, they offered water, tea and snacks. It totally helped ease some of the nerves and even though I didn’t need any of it I was glad it was there if I changed my mind. Both ER surgeons that I had been in contact with were very kind and supportive. I hope I never have to experience this again but if I do, I would be happy to return to VEG ER.
I can’t thank the staff and doctors at VEG San Ramon enough for being so helpful, compassionate and cooperative when it comes to treating my cat Motu. We had been to multiple hospitals before coming to VEG and were constantly treated like cash machines, with everybody trying to extract every cent we had. the staff at VEG were the first people to care about the animal first and foremost, and also be willing to work with us on the financial aspect. It really meant a lot to us, and it is comforting to think such a place exists in the community. My cat was treated really well and received good care that has finally gotten him back to a healthy state Alhamdullilah. Really appreciate everyone there, may Allah bless you. I also loved the open concept of the facility. Other clinics kind of just disappear with your pet but you can see everything at work at VEG, which was comforting for both us and our cat.
Dr. Ogg, Dr. Wilson, Julia, Sarah and Kylie all took such great care of my dog when she needed to be hospitalized over night. They were so attentive to her and making sure she was comfortable. Her visit was a bit traumatic for me but it was overall a very positive experience knowing she was well taken care of. Taylor was so helpful with billing and making sure my dog’s records transferred to her primary vet. VEG has always been my choice for emergency care, they go above and beyond every time. So thankful for the vets and techs in this office!
VEG San Ramon truly saved our cat’s life. We arrived late at night with a severe urinary blockage that was life-threatening. The staff moved quickly and confidently, but what made the difference was the compassion shown at every level. The receptionist team handled paperwork and financial conversations with patience and professionalism while we were emotionally drained. That support mattered more than we can express. Dr. Caitlyn Wilson took immediate charge and explained everything clearly. She answered every question and treated our family with empathy and respect. She worked with our budget and ensured our cat received best care. Nurse Gina looked after our cat overnight and was exceptional. She is incredibly knowledgeable and you can tell she genuinely loves what she does. Dr. Casa took over care the following day and continued the same high standard. She was thorough, attentive, and reassuring. The transition between doctors was seamless. We are beyond grateful! This team does not just treat emergencies. They care deeply. 5 stars is not enough to thank them for their work.
The love of our lives ingested something unknown which left him in and out of a coma for three days. The entire staff at Veg took such wonderful care of him AND all of our family members that wanted to be by our dogs side. At the end of each shift the oncoming staff was completely updated and on the same page as the previous. They were patient, empathetic and respectful of our decisions and feelings. Spending hours and hours there, we saw first hand how each pet was treated with love and kindness. The staff works well together, collaborates and supports each other. Our family was comforted in a time that could have been one of the worst experiences for us. We are so thankful the amazing staff at VEG saved our dogs life.
Unfortunately, this was my first time meeting a vet who showed no empathy. My 8-year-old dog was seen by Dr. Nina Matsuo. After we said no to the $1200 estimate, things changed. She just gave us another estimate which doesn’t includes anesthesia. Her assistant came up with antibiotics and tried to clean his eye, but my dog wasn’t comfortable. When I asked for 1 or 2 saline wipes to use at home, she said no and told us to buy them from CVS by shrugging her shoulders. We paid $474 but felt zero or kindness. I was very disappointed and felt it was more about money than helping my dog. I was happy at first that this is so close to our house and convenient for emergencies. We felt San Ramon community is supportive but this is what we end up getting it. Sad 😔
Never seen the open concept ER for a vet before. Very cool, organized, optimal, and efficient. No waiting. You just go right into it. I really felt like I was part of the action. Oscar, my skinny pig, was well taken care of and they let me watch him the whole time. This is one of the only 24/7 exotic vet locations I know, so I feel very blessed to live so close to VEG. Thank you for your care and dedication!
