First puppy visit and our anxiety was high alert. Vet. Andy Scott and the nurses/assistants greeted us and so patient and considerate to our questions and concerns. We found our puppy medical and dental care. Thank you so much from Luna and our family.
I have been taking my cats here for their annual and dental cleanings. I am extremely happy with their visits. The vet, Dr. Scott, was thorough as he explained medical conditions. I also had exceptional customer service from Patrick, JonRoy (?), and LizBeth. Patrick even helped out when my male cat was a hard blood draw (just like his momma!) 👋
We are so grateful to Dr. Scott for the exceptional care he provided to our dog, Nina. From the very beginning, he was attentive, compassionate, and incredibly thorough. He took the time to carefully evaluate her condition, explain everything clearly, and make sure we felt comfortable with the treatment plan. Dr. Scott treated Nina with genuine kindness and patience, which truly made a difference during a stressful time for our family. It’s clear that he not only has deep medical knowledge, but also a real love for animals. Thanks to his care and guidance, Nina is doing so much better. We couldn’t have asked for a better veterinarian. Highly recommend Dr. Scott to anyone looking for a skilled and caring vet! — Felipe & Family
This place is not cat friendly at all. This is the personal hell for cats and their owners. No sort of separation from the cats and dogs, so the dogs act like psychopaths, screaming at the other dogs and it’s horrifying for the cats. They used to do it where you would get a full vet visit at least. We went there for flea protection pills, and they tell us they only do vaccines and stuff and recommended us a topical rub that’s like $100-$200 more than retail price. Also this place used to not take you if you’re 15 minutes late, even if you call them beforehand to let them know. I actually despise this spot. I only came back because Cheshire Cat Clinic is closed on Sundays and it was urgent. This place has always been centered around dogs, and it’s clear even by the attitude of the vets.
Had a great experience. This was our first visit to Vetco and Lizbeth was very helpful and accommodating. She is bilingual and able to explain everything to my mother whose main language is Spanish. The veterinarian Dr. Foster was also very helpful and was knowledgeable about my dogs condition and showed him a lot of patience and care.
I can in for a booster shot for vaccinations I got two weeks prior from Vetco. I asked if I had to pay the vet exam fee and was told that I had to pay for a tech fee of $57. When I came in for the original shots I didn’t have to pay any additional fees, why the difference? If a person is coming in for follow up or boosters they should not have to pay for additional fees. When my dog was taken from me to get the shots (I normally hold him, he weights 100lbs) I heard your tech swear and should like she was getting frustrated with my dog, this is why I asked to hold him for them. The visit was not what I would have expected and not what I have gotten before.
Always a great experience at Vetco in Mira Mesa, from the beginning to check out. They are always on time and are very up front and honest about everything. I know my baby is in good hands.
