Eye Care for Animals - San Diego

We cannot be any happier with the service we received from Eye Care For Animals! We were out of the country when we found out our 15-year-old dog would need her eye removed. Although it was quite unsettling, the entire staff at Eye Care For Animals provided such great communication with both us and our pet sitter. Dr. Tsai was extremely thorough in making sure our older gal would be safe through surgery and called us to let us know all went well as soon as she was done with the surgery. Follow up care has been great too and our dog is adjusting just fine to becoming a pirate!

My dog had a recent visit with Dr. Tsai. She did such a great job with my little girl. She explained everything that was going on with my dog and asked me if I had any questions about her diagnosis. She made recommendations and I am hopeful that they will help improve my dog’s quality of life. The staff was very helpful and the whole experience was very efficient.

We have been going to EyeCare for Animals for over two years, and they’ve been so good about helping us navigate trying to delay an eye surgery as long as possible (for financial reasons) while also being mindful about what’s best for our 4-year old dog. There was never the slightest bit of pressure to get it done or to return more frequently than necessary. Finally when I decided to have the surgery, it was not only the most well managed procedure we’ve ever had with a dog (and we have had 4 dogs needing many surgeries over 25 years and some at the best vet hospitals in the country), but Dr Venturi and the entire team was so thorough, so compassionate, and incredibly understanding and supportive about our current financial constraints. On the day of surgery, our very food motivated girl was so sad to not be able to have a treat when we arrived (and the treats are better than anywhere around!) that they packaged up a goody bag for us to take home for when her anesthesia wore off! I simply cannot say enough about the entire team from front desk/admin/check in to the technicians to the surgeon, Dr Venturi. Additionally, the office was immaculate every time we were there an to me, that also speaks to how detailed they are with their procedures on our pets! I cannot recommend this group highly enough for pet eye needs!

Rex has received excellent care from Eye Care for Animals Clinic. Dr Tsai was very professional with compassion and explained & discussed about the diagnosis and procedures to be done. When your pet is going through a tough diagnosis, you want a Vet that understands somewhat how agonizing it is for you & your pet. I also need to state that Jesus was so good with Rex. He was professional/ knowledgeable and very gentle (as if his own pet) He made sure I was aware of the testing he was going to perform on Rex. The front office crew are the center of the Clinic. They are so kind and will go out of the way to make sure you are satisfied with your appointment and visit.

I came here for my 10 pound toy poodles eye care. He is not the easiest dog when it comes to the vet/doctor. I felt that the Dr and technician for my appointment really respected his boundaries and made him feel safe. I hope we don’t have to come back but if we need to I will feel at ease. Highly recommend!!!

Dr Venturi did an excellent job ruling out possible causes for my dog's extremely red, painful looking eye. After my vet was unable to find a cause following 2 medication protocols and a thorough exam she sent me to Eye Care for Animals. The desk staff and Dr's assistant were both wonderful. The eye is already improving using a stronger steroid drop and gel lubricant drop. Would absolutely recommend. Was SO worth it to me to rule out serious eye disease.

I have been bringing in my dogs for the last year or more and I can’t praise them enough. Their service goes above and beyond. Plus, their team genuinely loves animals and it shows. I’m very very happy with the care we receive from them.
