Dr. Reilly, the vet techs and the administrative staff could not be better. We do not write reviews often, but the quality of the care was so fantastic that we want to share our experiences. We deeply appreciate how wonderful their care was of our dachsund - chihuahua mix dog for her last eight years, until just shy of 16 years old. Dr. Reilly and team were there in good times and bad, for routine visits and difficult moments, with medical knowledge, important practical knowledge, skill, love, compassion, and explanations, never hurrying us. We are profoundly grateful for the extraordinary care they provided to our dog and to us as well. Thank you so much.

The team at Hawthorne (and Atlantic Vet in Marblehead) took wonderful care of our elderly cat for over the last year. She came to Hawthorne when she was 17 with progressed kidney disease- Drs. Riley, Freedman, & Rockwell all saw her and were very thoughtful and caring. I was always impressed how the team would take messages for a vet and return them the same day. For a vet office, they have great hours (Marblehead can fit you in on a Sat) and make an effort to fit you in for same day sick appointments if you call early AM. The facilities were clean and welcoming. All the staff is kind caring and attentive to the needs of pets and their owners. I can’t recommend Hawthorne (and Atlantic) highly enough! We’re very grateful for their expert care over the last year or so with our senior cat.

We absolutely love Dr. Freedman, He sees my cat Salem since we brought him home and I couldn't go anywhere else. He takes his time , ask questions and He's never in a rush, my cat is always comfortable with him. Healthy kitty! Thank you!

Dr. Freeman is an incredibly caring doctor and amazing human being. He checked over my retired War Dog, Sergeant Rey for a second opinion on a tumor and was so kind to explain all the tests and options. He even gave her a Veteran discount, no charge for a warrior and hero who served her country.

I've visited twice as a "satellite" of Atlantic Vet and I love it here too. The staff are kind+patient and Dr Freedman is a gem.
