Watt Avenue Pet Hospital

I had my dog’s ears cropped here, but unfortunately the left ear was cut too vertical at the base compared to the right. Because of this, we’ve continued to have problems getting that ear to stand properly, despite consistent posting and follow-up care. This has been frustrating and disappointing, especially considering the time, effort, and expense involved in the process. I wish there had been more attention to symmetry and overall outcome. I wanted to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.

Many thanks to Dr. Barrett and the wonderful staff for cropping and posting our Doberman pup’s ears. As all pups vary, we finished posting after 5 1/2 weeks of Rambo’s surgery. They were professional and helped us every step of the way including cleaning and re-posting his ears every 3 days. We are very happy with the results.

I got my two american bully’s ears cropped here. It was a four hour round trip for me to come here but Sacramento was the closest place offering ear cropping to me. I did have to come once for consultation and then again for the surgery and once more for rewrapping the ears. They taught me how to wrap myself so I didn’t have to keep coming back. The staff was very helpful and sweet. My dogs ears have healed wonderfully and stand up straight. Thank you!

Dr. B is thorough and empathetic. She referred us to UC Davis and remained involved in every step of the way. We had bounced around a couple of vets and now that we have found her, M is not scared anymore. They listen intelligently. Highly recommend this pets care clinic.

My Female Doberman Sierra had her ears cropped back on Dec 29th 2020. They healed wonderfully and came out beautifully. We posted for 4 months strait (24/7) after the surgery for these beautiful ears my girl has. Our experience at Watt Ave was great.

Dr. Barrett was one of the most unprofessional veterinarians I’ve ever worked with. I would never recommend anyone ever bring any animal to this facility. I would not trust them with my animals.

Dr. Barrett and her staff have always taken great care of our furry children. They are professional and personal. We highly recommend this pet care facility.
