Vista Veterinary Specialists

Recently, my 12-year-old pit bull, Diesel, became sick. Our regular vet was closed, and I'm so glad we found this place. The news we received was difficult, and we had to make the painful decision of having him euthanized. We're grateful he was treated with so much gentleness and care. Our family was met with compassion and understanding. We were given the space and time to be with him in his last hours and grieve. We are grateful to everyone there. The doctor explained everything thoroughly and provided us with all of our options. The staff was caring and knowledgeable, and the paperwork was straightforward and explained clearly. We later received a card to keep as a keepsake. Saying goodbye to a pet is difficult, but with the folks at Vista Veterinary, it was just a little less painful. I highly recommend them.

When I checked in at almost 2 in the morning, the staff recognized that my dog was in distress and took care of him immediately. From then forward, everyone was amazing. They were caring, kind and awesome at what they do. My dog had to be hospitalized, and they were understanding of his anxiety issues and listened to my concerns for his psychological wellbeing as well as the physical. I can’t say enough about the staff - techs, nurses, veterinarians, everyone did a great job maneuvering a difficult time and helping to get my sweet dog feeling better.

The staff here is so amazing. I brought my baby in for monitoring and he had to stay a couple days. They gave me daily updates and kept me informed of my options. The facility is super nice, too. A very welcoming lobby. I would definitely bring my baby back if needed. They also gave him some choice drugs, haha 🤌🏻

Overall a very good experience. We landed here on a roadtrip about 1400 miles from home and 600 miles to our destination. (Not the best luck.) Team was professional and kind and took good care of my senior dog who had an unexpected medical emergency. (As well as so sweet with my second dog who was with us in the waiting room, exam room, etc. due to the extreme heat in the car.) Their communication was strong — I felt well informed as to how things were going, any time something changed, tests being performed, etc. I regularly utilized text and email lines in addition to phone calls and the staff was really patient with my regular check-ins. The bill was expensive, but this is expected with any emergency vet (especially in California) and they were upfront about all charges before they were incurred. I had a ton of questions (as I like to be really involved in veterinary care and building a knowledge base for my animals) and this was a great place to be deeply involved in the conversation. The wait time to get seen was rough (couple hours), but again, makes sense — they will triage patients based on severity of case — and this will vary based on caseload and vets on staff. While I hope we never return (I mean, who wants repeat emergency room vet visits???), I would definitely recommend them to others in the area.

If you’re in need of emergency vet services, I highly recommend Vista. My dog had to have an ultrasound and the techs were kind and efficient, and friendly to both me and my dog. The vets were very thorough in their explanations and took their time to answer all of my questions. I never felt rushed like I have at other vet offices. Emergency services are always expensive so I can not fault them for that. Know that your fur babies will be in good hands at Vista.

We had such a great experience at Vista Veterinary Specialists! Our dog, Valentina, was having an issue with her paw, and the entire team took amazing care of her from start to finish. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, patient, and professional. They got us in quickly and clearly explained what was going on and what our options were. We never felt rushed or confused. They made sure we understood everything and felt comfortable with the plan. You can tell they truly care about the animals they treat, and that meant a lot to us. Valentina is doing so much better now, and we're so grateful for the care she received. Highly recommend them if you're looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate veterinary team!

My dog developed a rash on his belly and was miserable in the middle of the night. Vista Vet was open, triaged him quickly, and consulted with me about what he needed within a half hour of arriving. He was treated and we were out of there within an hour! They also followed up via email to see how he was doing. Hopefully we won't make it a habit but if we need to, we'll be back!
