Sac Animal Hospital is the BEST vet hospital to take your dog to, especially if they are a reactive, alpha dog like our big girl Sophie. We love that they have an exam room that can be entered directly from the parking lot, so we don't have to risk taking Sophie through the lobby. The front desk, vet techs and our awesome vet (Dr. Rangchi) are all very understanding of Sophie's "special needs" and make sure she and the other dogs are safe. On our most recent visit, the vet tech who came to take Sophie in back for lab work, said "Don't worry, we've game-planned out a safe route and room in back that will keep her away from other dogs." We also appreciate how FAST the lab results come back! After a Saturday visit, we got an email with results and personal advice from our vet first thing Monday AM! Always and forever going to be my main vet. They have an incredible team of people working there who are all consistently kind, caring, knowledgeable, and always make me feel like my pets are in the best hands possible. Our last dog made it all the way to his sweet 16 with their help and care and always loved making friends at his vet visits. And when we had to sadly say goodbye to him they handled everything with such genuine compassion. We just finally took in a new dog the other day and he enjoyed his first visit there too. Looking forward to having him by our side for a long time now and i know they'll keep him healthy so he can be. My cat is unfortunately an asshole at the vet but they're always very patient and make it as easy as it can be with him. Thank you everyone there for all your hard work and for always taking good care of our little family 💕

The Sacramento Animal Hospital has taken care of my cats and dogs for several years. The people are fantastic and the care is amazing. They are very kind and caring, aware that the human side of pet care is just as important as taking care of your pet.

This was my first appointment, and my fur baby, Fiona, was completely taken care of. She was super excited and playful during her vet exam. The staff and Dr. True were very, very patient with her. They answered all my questions, gave me a folder with print outs, and explained all the costs for future services. I couldn't be happier, and my little girl was too. 🙂

I brought my cat here after he was diagnosed with FIC/FLUDT, looking for a veterinarian who understands the disease and is willing to listen to/work with my cat's individual needs. Dr. Castillo has been great to work with! She listens, answers my questions thoroughly and is willing to explore different options. The rest of the staff I've encountered are kind and quick to help but getting messages through can be a challenge. I would love an online portal to send messages through so there is less back and forth. You can email the office but you get an auto-response that says replies can take up to 10-14 business days; to call in with more pressing needs. Unfortunately for us, most communication is pressing but if you have more general needs, it could be okay for you. Overall, we have been very happy with Sacramento Animal Hospital and highly recommend it to others who have cats with FIC.
