I took my cat in for emergency treatment. But it was a total waste of money. Staff was extremely cold and uncaring of the patient and myself. My cat was so seriously injured that she should've been euthanized. All that was done was give her an antibiotic injection, some liquid gabapentin, and a bottle of antiseptic liquid and sent home with a cone. The inhumane treatment made my cat suffer so much more. They could've done more of an exam, they could've done more than just some stupid antibiotic. They were so cruel. The staff should be charged with cruelty to animals and should be shut down. I wish I could do negative stars. If your animal is hurt, do not take your pet to this hospital.
When my dog got sick. I took my little pet there. They wait was horrible, long hours of wait time. Once inside it was ok. The treatment was extremely expensive. A couple of days later my dog passed away. I took her back for cremation another expensive bill. Now my dog is in heaven RIP.
The worse animal hospital ever! Don’t ever come here this so call doctors don’t even do their jobs right I came here hoping to save my pet life just for them to exploit me with a cost more higher and not even giving me the right medication for my pet I will be taking them court WORSE Animals hospital ever they don’t care about your animal ugly nurse don’t even know what their doing !
Arlington Animal Hospital! This vet killed my dog!!! If I can give 0 stars I would !! Do not bring your animal here if it’s a life threatening situation your baby will not make it out alive!!! I lost my Yorkie and we are all still grieving ,my kids are in shock and mentally unstable they can’t sleep at night because of this experience , our dog is no longer with us because of this hospital they need to shut this place down immediately! all they care about is your money please beware!! Do not come here !!! We brought our Yorkie because she was convulsing had repeated seizures and vomiting, they said they will bring her in place an IV and provide fluids , medicate her to stabilize her situation but before they can do that first I had to fill out a whole bunch of paper work give her 1700 up front or complete care credit to pay, they had me do an application online so until I got approved after that then they would bring her to the back ,suddenly internet wasn’t working and the website would freeze up and it was just a nightmare taking longer than anticipated and I said just take her in immediately yelling shes dying I will pay regardless !!! They said no ! not until I was done with the paper work and mind you my dog started to convulse again as my son held her he cried telling us please hurry she’s scared she doesn’t want to die make them do something I’m disgusted by this hospital and all the staff there after 20 agonizing minutes they took us back in a room and that’s when my son laid her on the table the vet comes in 5 minutes after checked her heart all he says to us was , she’s gone!! He said his assistant will give you some options if you want her cremated it’s $500 or you can take her home we can provide a box to put her in , we’re in shock at this point very angry and disappointed heart broken they administered no meds no CPR no effort to save her! nothing !!!!!! Prior to being put into a room we had put down a deposit along with a signed contract stating that if our pet fell into cardiac arrest which she did they would have to immediately preform CPR to resuscitate her to the best of their abilities, none of that was done. If they had rushed her in immediately right when I got there she was fully alive she could have had a chance , if they would have given her the attention and medication my baby would be here today worst experience we have ever encountered!! My son wakes up at night at 3 am telling me he can’t sleep because he said he’s traumatized he cry’s telling me I quote mom you should have seen her eyes staring at me pleading for help , I felt very helpless mom she didn’t want to die , I felt her heart beating strongly then slowing down until her heart suddenly stopped I felt it in my arms mom, I can’t get it out of my head I can’t forget that image as much as I try it hurts to my core that I couldn’t do anything to save her. I will put this in gods hands and May the lord Jesus Christ lead my Leila to heaven ,she didn’t deserve to die this way. All staff here are cruel and unkind, and have no sympathy for anyone or anything they only want ridiculous amount of money upfront or service is refused
I am writing this as a firsthand account of what happened to my family and me, and as a warning to other pet owners who love their animals like family. Our Yorkie, Leila, was only 6 months old. She was full of life, playful, and deeply loved--especially by myself and sister. She wasn't "just a dog." She was part of our home, part of our daily lives, and a source of comfort and happiness that is now painfully gone. The day everything happened, my dad and me rushed her to this veterinary hospital while she was suffering from severe seizures and uncontrollable vomiting. By the time I arrived, everything had already unfolded,What I am sharing is based on what I experienced and what we have all been left to live with since. I ran out of the car carrying Leila in my arms, begging for immediate help as her tiny body weakened by the second. I was panicked, desperate, and watching something loved slip away right in front of me. Instead of rushing her in for emergency care, i was stopped and told that paperwork had to be signed and a cash deposit paid before anyone would even look at her. While I was pleading for her life, time was slipping away--time she did not have. My dad signed everything as quickly as possible, including a contract stating that if she went into cardiac arrest, the staff would resuscitate her and do everything possible to save her life. That urgency never came. Leila was placed on a table, and instead of immediate life-saving intervention, they checked her heartbeat and temperature. As the minutes passed, her condition worsened. I was right there, holding her, feeling her heartbeat grow weaker and weaker until it finally stopped in my hands. I felt the exact moment she died. Instead of leaving that hospital with relief--holding our puppy, grateful she had been saved--we came home with nothing. No life.No answers that could bring her back.No second chance. We came home with only a few clippings of her hair and the blanket she died in. That is all we have left of her. The silence in our home since that day has been unbearable. It is not just grief--it is a kind of emptiness that changes everything. The house feels different. Life feels different. There is a heaviness that does not go away. I had not been the same since that day. I wake up in the middle of the night reliving those moments, I could feel her heartbeat slowly fading in my hands, how she looked scared and confused. I believe she knew what was happening. I believes she didn't want to die. Since then, I struggled to eat. I struggled to get out of bed. As a pet owner, there is nothing more painful than watching your pet suffer like this and knowing it stems from a moment where help was expected, but, it did not come in time. What makes this even harder to process is what happened immediately after she passed. Instead of being given time to grieve, me, my sister and father were told that a nurse would come speak with us about cremation options. In a moment where we had just lost this puppy and died in my arms, the focus shifted almost immediately to arrangements and costs. There was no space to process, no compassion that matched the weight of what had just happened. This was not just the loss of a pet. This was a traumatic, life-altering experience for me, my sister and our entire family. I am sharing this because no pet owner should ever feel this kind of regret, this kind of helplessness, or this kind of pain after seeking emergency care for an animal they love. Based on what my family experienced, I urge others to be extremely cautious. When you are choosing where to take your pet--especially in an emergency--you are placing their life in someone else's hands. Please think carefully about that decision. What breaks my heart to the core is seeing my little sister whispering to our dead dogs ear saying please come back We trusted this place in a moment of desperation, expecting urgency, care, and compassion. Instead, we came home with a blanket, a few strands of hair, and a loss that has changed our lives forever.
We came here during a very stressful emergency with our pet and did receive medical treatment, including IV fluids and medications. The doctors appeared knowledgeable, and the clinical care itself was appropriate. However, the overall experience was cold, rushed, and overwhelming. Communication focused heavily on costs, paperwork, and internal process rather than comfort, reassurance, or clear explanation, even while we were visibly anxious. The interaction felt transactional rather than compassionate. At discharge, we were never clearly told how our cat responded to treatment or why she was considered ready to go home. There was no explanation of her condition after fluids and medications, no reassurance about her stability, and no clear medical summary in plain language. We were left to assume she was okay simply because she was being discharged. While we were waiting for our cat, my daughter experienced low blood sugar. I clearly stated, "My daughter Hannah’s blood sugar is low," and explained that I was worried about her condition. I asked if I could step out briefly and come back for our cat so I could take care of my daughter first. Instead of reassurance or acknowledgment of that urgency, the response was, "Let me check if she can be discharged now." The focus shifted to expediting our cat’s discharge rather than accommodating a child’s medical emergency. I had to follow up because of the urgency of my daughter’s condition. Our cat was then discharged without clear communication that she was medically ready and without being allowed additional time to rest after treatment. In that moment, it felt like process and payment were prioritized over situational awareness, empathy, and basic human compassion. In an emergency setting, medical treatment alone is not enough. Clear communication, empathy, and human awareness matter just as much. Unfortunately, we did not feel supported as pet owners or as parents facing a medical emergency with our child. I hope this clinic seriously reevaluates its bedside manner and client communication, because emergencies require humanity, not just procedures.
This place is awful .... money grab ... incompetent medical personnel ...scare tactics ..... the doctor seeing my dog Dr.McAnlly could never answer a question and when asked anything would become defensive and had it on repeat "I don't know... I dont have that information... Im just the doctor the surgeon is the one making that decision .." so then at that point why am I not speaking with the surgeon making the decision there is no need for a middle man if you cant give answers. The surgeon was a joke as well cant be asked direct questions or else your being rude and won't speak to you unless you claim down... for one do not ever as a male tell a female to claim down after you just informed them that there is nothing you can do as their dog who has been there since 8am now is showing signs of low platelets and they are going to bleed out during surgery if your team and yourself as a surgeon do not have faith in your ability and profession than I advise looking into something else because that is pathetic.... to see a scan where if clearly shows a FB but the next scan it moved but now as a surgeon you need a second opinion or else you're not doing surgery is pathetic.... waiting until 3 hours after the scheduled time frame for your animal surgery to find out about these concerns where you told surgery was set to begin is pathetic.... when you ask questions to know what could happen and best advise to move forward and you get told they are worried about your dog but now that they are discharging him and that you need to come pick him up pathetic.... if you love your animal never ever take them here ... I feel bad for the front desk staff they probably get yelled at a lot for the incompetent doctors... I also advise they seek another place of work
