Animal Health Care Center in Renton - I have been taking my 2 dogs there for a little over a year. The staff there really do LOVE animals and they take great care of them while they are there. Very thorough with everything they do. They give you an estimate before they treat your animal. Whether or not they are overpriced I am not sure because the services that were done haven’t been done before on my animals so I don’t have a comparison and if you don’t want something done they will remove it from the estimate. You also have access to a payment plan which has been very helpful. Whenever we pull up to the front of the building the dogs can’t wait to get out of the car to go inside. Strange, they weren’t like this at any other veterinary office. They say dogs have a good sense about people so all I can say is they hire the correct staff.

These folks care. The doctor and staff were very knowledgeable and treated me well. My dog loved them as well and that says a lot. Ill see you guys on my next visit. Thanks so much.

I’ve been extremely disappointed with how this clinic handled a very simple prescription request. A prescription for regular Simparica (not Simparica Trio) was written earlier this year. When I attempted to fill it through Amazon, the clinic refused to approve it and told me I would need to pay $29.99 again simply because I chose to fill the prescription outside of their office. I was later told the prescription had expired on 7/01/2025, despite being written only a couple of months prior. There was no medical issue, no exam required, and no change in my dog’s health — just an administrative fee tied to where I chose to purchase the medication. This was never clearly explained upfront and felt more like a pressure tactic than patient care. I understand clinics need to run a business, but denying prescription approvals unless clients pay additional fees — especially without clear communication — is frustrating and erodes trust. Other veterinary offices do not operate this way. If you plan to use online pharmacies like Amazon or Chewy, be aware that this clinic may charge extra just to approve a prescription. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider continuing care here.

Very frustrating experience. I brought my dog (Lexi) in for an ear infection and paid $500+ for exam, cytology, cleaning, and medication. The infection came back within weeks. When I called, I was told I had to pay for a completely new exam instead of a follow-up. I went back and ended up paying another $500+ for the exact same treatment. Now, the issue is back again, and I’m being told to repeat the same process at the same cost.At this point, I’ve spent around $1,200+ and the problem still isn’t resolved. No continuity of care, no follow-up, and no accountability for ineffective treatment. why every time I have to come for a "recheck/follow up" I have to pay same amount as first time/new patient, when it's your responsibility to make sure whether the treatment protocol you followed at the first place was effective or not?

AVOID AT ALL COST. Do not fall for the first free exam ads, it is a totally SCAM. You can end up paying $500+ even you have a healthy pet. They are doing all kind of unnecessary exams that you don’t know whether they’ve actually did it as you are not allowed to watch. They do not care about your pet, all they did was getting your money. Plus: you would not know how much they are gonna charge you until you see the bill! First time ever leaving a Google comment but I feel like I have to say this to protect future pet parents.

groomer is very good. I have a spoiled dog and is very difficult in the service, but the dog was cut very neatly and beautifully, groomer listened to all the wishes and fulfilled everything, my dog ​​was little aggressive due to the fact that this was our first visit, but the groomer and the reception were understanding, we were completely unbearable to pay little extra for inconvenience and I am very happy and grateful for such a possible. I definitely recommend this place.

They are a good place to take your puppy. My dog is experiencing a broken leg and they have been doing a lot of good stuff with her and they work with you.
