I am so happy to have found a great vet for our Morkie we adopted this past January. Dr Tarantino & the veterinary tech and assistants that I met were great in every way & there is an air of calmness & an inviting light scent of essential oils to bring a calming effect on the patients & their human families. It was nice, but not overpowering. I fully trust Dr Tarantino & staff. His approach is a breath of fresh air, too. I've not ever been this impressed by a veterinarian clinic! I started his care initially at a veterinary only blocks from our house, but once I paid their charges and walked to my car, I was hoping to find a vet whose charges are more in-line with our budget. I know, tall order, for certain, but devine intervention was already at play long before I just randomly asked my next door neighbor if she knew of a good vet that doesn't charge a rediculous amount to care for your pet, and she gave me the name and number for Dr Tarantino at Blue Ridge Animal Clinic. I can't imagine going to any other veterinarian, and he's only 1 mile away.... ;>) its a win-win for you & your pet!

Dr Tarantino is the most caring vet I have ever experienced. He also has the best team Lucas and Greta. Although some of my dogs are grumpy at the vet they always do everything they can to make them comfortable. But the true compassion they showed for our dear Toby who was bleeding internally went above and beyond. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting the best care for your furry family members.

A very simple office. I love my pups and so do the staff at this clinic. Fancy, no but affordable, kind and understanding . They have been there for my fur family in the best times. Koda Bear being given a clean bill of health. To the worst , letting my Koda Bear go. The doctor was patient and gentle. Didn't rush us. When I was hysterical he ensured to me that I was doing the right decision.

Everyone here is fantastic. My cat was dying and her normal vet could not give me a great reason why or was willing to do much to help her so I took a Chance after seeing all of the 5 star reviews here and brought her here and the Dr literally saved her life. The compassion him and his staff have for animals goes above and beyond and matters so much when a beloved pets life is on the line. He will be our first go to from here on out!

Dr. Tarantino and his staff are wonderful. Always friendly and eager to help. I first contacted his office when I came across a puppy that had been left in a dumpster. I was able to get in right away when none of the large veterinary offices would take her for days, they are simply too corporate. After the exam we talked about the best course of action. The little pup fell asleep in his arms and he had his tech snap a picture. He always tells me about the newest research and makes recommendations that are current. I appreciate that he takes the time to explain and brainstorm and seems like he genuinely cares about what he does. His vet tech has been there since I began taking two of our dogs in a few ghhybnthtujhh but years ago. He’s always kind and helpful. I know my dogs are getting the best care and my third dog will be changing over to Blue Ridge next week.

Dr. Tarantino, Greta and the entire staff are amazing. Special thank you to Lucas for assisting Kandi with care. Second time they helped us send one of our fur babies across the rainbow bridge. Kandi, 11 year old Boxer, became too sick (cancer) to go on. With compassion and heart felt caring, they guided Kandi home. We took her there wrapped in her blanket, left it there thinking it would get tossed. We had her cremated and had an impression of her paw made. Our Son picked her up for us and when he got here they had washed and folded the blanket for us. Dr. Tarantino gave us a hand written note, and we recieved a certificate of creamation. Above and beyond. Great folks, made us very comfortable during this hard time. Comforted Kandi the whole time. Can't say enough about their professionalism. Dr. Tarantino and his clinic get 5 Stars from me. Please understand when you go here that it is a single doctor practice. It's just him, and his very small hard-working & multitasking team. We took our sweet buddy Neelix here for treatment, but unfortunately his illness (tumor) was undetectable due to its location. When we had to have Neelix put down, this kind doctor was so bothered by the fact that he couldn't figure out the illness that he did an autopsy free of charge. He then spent almost 2 hours on the phone with my husband that night to explain every picture he took (voluntarily) during the procedure. They made us an imprint of Neelix's paw, saved some of his fur for us, and Dr. Tarantino sent us a handwritten condolence card the following week. I truly appreciate the compassion we were shown during those bleak, snowy days...This all took place during the record deep freeze of February '21 and this clinic was still open, plus Dr. Tarantino made himself available after hours. Due to the pandemic he has struggled like many small businesses to keep a full time staff. Yet they are still there, doing the best they can with that same compassion and even a smile. Please approach this very caring, dedicated animal clinic with patience during these chaotic times. They love animals here, and it shows. ❤️
