Mountain View Animal Hospital

Brought our new puppy here for the first visit. They made us feel right at home and were very helpful and happy for us to be there. Our puppy liked it so much she even napped while we were there for the appointment.

Recently moved back to the Rapid City area. Moving somewhere can be stressful when trying to schedule and find a new, great vet for my babies. We decided to try Mountain View based on their great online reviews and other positive recommendations from co-workers. Their online booking process was very simple and I was able to get in the very next day. I have a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian shepherd puppy and two adult dachshund dogs. We saw Dr. Elizabeth for the Great Pyrenees pup and she was absolutely phenomenal. She listened to our concerns, did a thorough check and an immediate care plan. The entire office staff was very friendly and you can tell they all love animals. We will definitely be permanent patients! Can’t wait to take the wiener dogs in next. Highly recommend Mountain View for new patients and anyone stressing over finding a new vet. You won’t be disappointed!

I moved here from Alaska with my two rescue cats, both with chronic health conditions. Saw Mountain View business card on my Aunts fridge and gave them a call. I am so happy I found them. Such wonderful and compassionate people. They have taken great care of my babies. I feel the cost of care is reasonably priced. I was paying an arm and leg in Alaska. But the way they genuinely care is what is priceless for me. 🩷

Such an amazing group of caring professionals. We love how much they love our two fur babies. From the time you walk in the door to the moment you leave, they are all about the care and comfort of your pets and your overall happiness with the care they provided. Best vet service in Rapid by far!

This was my first time at this clinic, and I want to start by saying the veterinary team itself was wonderful. The doctor and techs were kind, patient, and handled my dog thoughtfully. I truly appreciated the care and professionalism once we were in the exam room. However, my experience with the front desk was disappointing. I arrived 15 minutes early and called from outside to ask if we could wait in the car until the doctor was ready, as my dog is reactive and I was trying to minimize stress for everyone. The response I received felt dismissive. When I went inside briefly to complete paperwork and asked what the date was, none of the three reception staff acknowledged me. When I said I would wait in my car, I was asked, with noticeable attitude, "Did they say you have to wait in the car?" This was especially confusing given the clinic promotes a Fear Free approach. As a reactive dog owner, I am simply trying to prevent stressful situations and ensure safety for other pets and clients. A little acknowledgment and understanding at the front desk would have made a big difference, particularly as a new client. Again, the veterinary team was excellent. I just hope the front desk experience can better reflect the compassionate care provided in the exam room

Dr Merideth has been so kind and thorough with my dog. He had heart worm two years ago and the entire staff has been so loving with him. I am confident in their care.

Dr's Heig and the Mountain View crew have casted for our pups since we moved here in 21. They are wonderful, patient, and loving with the dogs...and their humans! They listen to our concerns and offer clear and kind guidance and thorough treatment. So glad we're a part of thus vet family.
