I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tarheel Veterinary Surgery Center. From the moment we walked through the door, we were treated with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Stacy at the front desk was absolutely amazing—friendly, helpful, and always willing to answer any questions we had. Jonathan, the veterinary technician, was incredibly sweet and caring toward my pup, making us both feel comfortable and reassured throughout the entire process. Dr. Whyte did an outstanding job with my dog's surgery. The procedure went smoothly, and my pup healed perfectly. It was clear that Dr. Whyte genuinely cared about my dog's well-being and took the time to ensure we understood everything before and after surgery. The entire team handled us with such care and compassion, and I am beyond grateful for the excellent treatment my dog received. I highly recommend Tarheel Veterinary Surgery Center to anyone looking for skilled, caring veterinary professionals.
Rosie came in almost 6 months ago after getting a little too excited to see me come home. Rosie took a small fall down the stairs and couldn't put weight on her back leg. At the vet, we learned she's had severe hip dysplasia since birth. The fall caused her femur to pop out. Rosie ended up getting a Femoral Head Ostectomy and a realignment of her kneecap from Patellar Luxation. - The entire staff was absolutely incredible from start to finish. They treated Rosie so well every appointment that she actually didn’t even mind going in anymore towards the end. Which speaks volumes considering most dogs would be terrified to go back to the place they had surgery. Rosie is doing great these days, too! Living her life to the fullest again. Thank you so much for everything!! Could not recommend enough.
I don't even know how or where to start because there is so much to say. This group of professionals are simply A-class. Nothing short of amazing. So personable, so cool, so laid back, so knowledgeable, so responsive. Just ridiculously amazing. Our 2 year American Bully Ralphie had his TPLO surgery almost two weeks ago and is progressing well. I've had a few uh oh moments with questions and they were answered so throughly and without judgement. I'm actually looking forward to our 8 week post op check up....🤣🤣🤣
Excellent service. This was a vet visit beyond comparison with what we have had before. This team loves their pets and it shows in the care they provide. Text updates on the surgery, comprehensive pre and post surgery briefings. Really a great group. Our dog is a week post op and still recovering but improving daily.
We are so grateful for the care that we received at TVSC for our precious MollyLou. When our very active large dog became unable to use her back leg, we didn't know where to turn. Weekend emergency vet services were quick to x-ray but only offered us a consultation 5 weeks out. Unwilling to let her suffer that long we called TVSC who understood and offered us an appointment 4 days later. In the interim, they handled all the gathering of records and provided us with the information we needed to be prepared at the consultation. With everything so clearly and carefully explained to us we were comfortable handing her over immediately to Dr. Whyte and later that day we felt secure bringing her home. We truly felt the team held our hands through the recovery period. We had regular communication through text and email and when we had questions, they were quickly responded to, even on a weekend. From beginning to end, we had such positive interactions with every staff member we encountered. Without hesitation I can recommend TVSC. Our MollyLou is back in full force thanks to TVSC!
This is the premier place to take your best friend for the best care possible for surgery! Highly recommend them! Everyone is super nice and accommodating (especially front desk staff) and everything is explained all the way through the process. Post surgery checks are done and everyone really cares about your best friend.
We had a wonderful experience at Tarheel Veterinary Surgery Center. Our very tiny Pomeranian puppy needed surgery to repair a broken arm, and naturally we were extremely worried. From the moment we arrived, the entire team treated both our puppy and our family with incredible compassion, professionalism, and care. Dr. Tudor was fantastic. She took an extraordinary amount of time to help us understand exactly what was going on, patiently answering all of our questions and addressing every concern we had. She truly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and reassured during a very stressful and emotional time. The entire staff was exceptional. It was clear how much they genuinely cared about our puppy's well-being and safety. We always felt that our pup was in the best possible hands. Dr. Tudor made sure we understood the treatment plan, knew what to expect throughout the process, and felt confident every step of the way. Her expertise, kindness, and dedication gave us tremendous peace of mind. We are incredibly grateful for the care our puppy received and highly recommend TVSC.
