We have had such a great experience at Raleigh Community Animal Hospital over these past few months. Dr.Simmons and the team have truly been a gift. Our rescue dog Davey Jones has had a tough go of it between heart worm treatment and a tumor being found, but he’s never been scared to come in. The staff is so loving and kind and always takes the extra time to explain what the diagnosis means, exactly what to do, and the treatment plan and answer any questions. Consider them for your vet needs 🙂
Pig and I saw Dr. Simmons and Heather because she was limping. They (and the whole RCAH staff) are amazing. They listened to my concerns, did a full exam, talked with me about what might be going on, and gave me options on how to proceed. We decided to start with some meds and take X-rays later if the meds don’t help. So far, the limp is a little better and this little Pig is getting back to her bossy, sassy self…after a nap, that is. I appreciate the love and care that we get at every visit. Thank you Dr. Simmons, Heather, and team!
Stephanie, Dr. Simmons, Zach and all the staff were AMAZING from min 0 to last in our appointment. I have a cat and a dog, they were kind, they took us in without previous appointments. We for sure found our office for life💖💖💖💖 5 stars is not enough. 1000/10
I rescued 2 kittens, Gnocchi and Binx in February of this year at a quite young age (both about 2 months) and wow I was thrown into the world of super young baby kitten care... it's a lot! But soooo worth it. I was raised around cats but we really only adopted after 6 months. Even though it was a bit overwhelming with all of the periodically needed vaccines, testing for worms and treatments for various things since they were rescued.. ear mites, infections, you name it. I am very happy overall and finally getting comfortable as a new kitten mom! RCAH has been caring, patient, SUPER available (text friendly and super responsive), and AFFORDABLE. I can't believe what some vets are charging nowadays for just a check-up let alone a necessary vaccine...! There were some hiccups along the way mostly from me getting comfortable and understanding the rules of the road so to say for vets and animal care, but all in all I am so happy I found them. They are now our furever vets. Yes, I just said that. Thank you, RCAH!
RCAH was wonderful with our semi-feral/stray TNVR kitty, Pumpkin. We purchased a voucher through Alley Cats but decided to pay additional to make sure the little guy was sufficiently vaccinated, tested, and microchipped. Everyone there was incredibly kind throughout the entire process, and one of the vets responded very quickly to an email when I had concerns about post-op swelling. Great vet practice!
Thank you Dr Burnett, assistant Megan and Mikel & Mase for all your help this week. I’m not sure I have ever felt like part of a vet family but I do now. From surprising you on Monday with an urgent need, introducing two new dogs in a week and blood work for a third your office was amazing. It’s been a joy and pleasure working with you all. See you soon. If you are looking for a caring office that really commits to being nice, patient, and available this is a great fit.
This has been our family vet for years and I’m loving the new young doctors (the tech staff always been superb) - I took my two large dogs in for a joint exam (a lil cheaper than separate exams and the dogs prefer to stay together anyway) and they both needed the bordatella vaccine. We had Laney as a tech (she was so great!) and I think it was Dr Bennet as the vet? They were both so sweet to my nervous dogs and my favorite part was when the Dr told me they both look ‘really good’ and only charged me for the exam and vaccines without pushing a single unnecessary test or procedure on us!! The Dr that used to own this practice always had multiple blood tests, lipoma removal surgeries, dental cleanings to recommend that she’d say were urgent and would cost hundreds or more (she charged great vaccine prices though) and I never left feeling like a good pet owner, but yesterday felt like the start of a new era; I work hard to keep my dogs healthy and it was great to get that simple feedback. My dogs are chicken and have always been scared of the vet but at least I’m not anymore! The service I got yesterday was simply top-notch and I hope we can see Laney and Dr Bennet for a long time to come. FYI our bill for the joint exam and two bordatella vaccine doses was $193.50
