I love this vet clinic. Staff and Dr Fisher are kind, compassionate and responsive. Dr. Fisher took wonderful care of our greyhound when he had an emergency and we had to unfortunately euthanize him that same day. I hope he never retires…. Love, love, love this veterinary practice

Dr Fisher and the staff are all very nice and professional. They handled my dog with care and fixed him right up with his annual shots. I'd give five stars if I could have waited inside in the cool office on a very hot day, but they are just not set up that way.

Dr. Fisher and his team are the best!!!!! Dr. Fisher comes out to explain what was done and is generous with his time for being the busiest vet in town! We found a tuxedo kitten (when she was 7 weeks now six months) who has had to have a few trips to Fisher’s Vet—every time the quality is the highest but the price is reasonable. He is wonderful with our four year old cat Sonic as well, even though he is not as kind to Dr. Fisher and team. I thank God he lead me to this vet, you will not find better care for your fur family member/members.

Dr. Fisher saved our 11 year old Maltese! I know many say similar things, and I know they are justified, but our Daisy was extremely sick. She had pyometra and another vet encouraged us to put her down. Dr. Fisher calmly and without false promises, treated her back to stable condition, then operated on her, following all this with exceptional post surgery care. Daisy is now back to full health. No rushed procedures that would have resulted in certain death, no exaggerated prices to take advantage of a delicate situation. Just exceptional and genuine care! We prayed for Daisy and will never minimize the miraculous in this recovery. At the same time, we recognize that Dr. Fisher did everything humanly possible. What more could you ask in such a difficult crisis? Thank you, Dr. Fisher!!!

I have been going to Fisher Veterinary for 11 years. The staff is wonderful and Joel Fisher is one of the most caring, kind and passionate people I have encountered in Vet community. I highly recommend this practice! Now, three years later, I can still say that Joel Fisher is an awesome vet!! My baby is now 14 years old and has developed kidney disease, stage 2. I made the difficult decision to transfer her records to another local, larger practice as their hours are more extended and offer Saturday appointments. Also, I am able to order her meds via their on line store saving me money. My main concern with Fisher Vet is that I am not able to come into the practice and engage with Dr. Fisher during exams and treatments. The practice requires that my dog be "dropped off" in the parking lot. Covid is in the rearview mirror and I don't understand why pet owners are not allowed in the building as before. When Dr. Fisher revealed that my dog's kidney values were elevated, he walked towards the door and said over his shoulder, "Go to Chewy.com and order kidney supporting food." Then, he left. For these reasons, I am comfortable with my decision to move my Bella to a more comprehensive practice offering more hands on care.

Read some of the reviews and I total disagree with the negative comments. I saw Dr Fisher for the first time in 1989 and when I moved to the OBX I continued to make the 3.5 hour drive for him to see my dog Maddie. I have never experienced anything but wonderful service from him and his staff. I still refer people to him and always will. He is not all about the $$, he’s about your pet and common sense, but like any Dr. he deserves to be paid for his services. Dr. Joel Fisher is and always will be the BEST Vet in Wake Co., or Dare Co. for that matter!!!

Been w Fisher Veterinary 30 years roughly...Dr. Fisher and Team have always been direct and to the point w compassion and professionalism topped with a Great sense of Humor. Our Family.....extended too....have had our beloved Pets cared for here. Boarding and Grooming included. They care. Highly recommend wo debate.....
