Our sweet dog was hit by a car, and we rushed him here for help. Unfortunately, he did not make it, but the incredible staff was so loving and comforting to my kids and me. They cleaned up our dog and let us sit with him in a private room to say goodbye for as long as we needed. They checked in periodically to see if we needed anything. Just when I thought I couldn’t be more impressed with their care, a card arrived expressing their condolences for our loss, complete with handwritten messages from everyone on the staff. I am incredibly impressed. My kids loved the card. ❤️
Love this clinic. They always get me in right away. My pup loves everyone there. They spend lots of time with us no rush. They thouraly explain my pups health as many times as I need, which is helpful since I have a brain injury myself. They process blood work while im there so no need to wait days for results. Really know their stuff. Its kind of far from ny home but totally worth it. By pup is getting so much better.
Going to an emergency vet is never something anyone wants to do. That being said, GQ Vet was amazing and made the experience positive in every way. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful getting us checked in right away. When we arrived there were already multiple people waiting yet we were seen very quicky. Our tech was outstanding, she took time to really care for our dog making sure that he was comfortable with everything she was doing for him. We were given all the time we could want to ask questions and never felt rushed. Dr. Hodges like everyone else was outstanding. He again showed great care and patience with us and our dog. He was very thorough yet not overwhelming us with information. He worked with us on a treatment plan considering our input and explaining each part of the process. Working with us and talking through the treatment plan really showed us that he wants the best for our dog. His overall care and concern for our dog really made it easy to trust him. It was really amazing to leave a vet feeling confident we had the best diagnoses, treatment plan and the trust in the entire staff to come back in the future. I 100% would recommend them and thanks to the entire staff for all that they do.
This place is fantastic, especially during a traumatic experience for my dog. They handled him with patience and care. The staff were so sweet to him and very helpful. They didn’t push anything on us and were upfront about the costs. I was especially impressed with how quick they were. I got in after maybe a 5-10 minute wait on a Tuesday morning and again after the same time on a Saturday afternoon! Dr. Hodges was very helpful and so kind with my dog. I was also so happy with Stephanie. She saw me struggling in the lobby with my dog because I couldn’t put a leash around his neck with his injury, so she was kind enough to take him back right away so I didn’t have to struggle. An exceptional place!!
I can’t even begin to say how thankful I am for such a great place. We had to drive 45 minutes to get there because we live rural. Our 12yo Great Dane had Bloat and they got him right in the door and within ten minutes we had options. Unfortunately Otis did not make it… but they were so kind and patient and made one of the worst days bearable. Loved the paw print and they even gave us some prints of his nose and paws per our request. I highly rec this emergency Vet. Thank from the bottom of my heart
I’ve brought both my own dog and my in-laws’ dog here, and they’ve taken wonderful care of both. They always provide a detailed proposal before starting any work, which gives you time to review and approve (or decline) procedures beforehand — something I really appreciate. Everyone has been incredibly kind and compassionate, the customer service is excellent, and the facility is very clean. I highly recommend bringing your furry babies here — they’re truly in great hands.
I brought my cat in for a painful paw, and it turned out she had pulled out one of her nails. Unfortunately, the experience was very concerning. She was never properly triaged, and her vitals were not taken during the visit. She received a pain injection and was sent home with medication. When I later received the medical records by email, I noticed the photo attached was of a completely different cat, along with incorrect vitals. The weight listed was double my cat’s actual weight. This is not a minor clerical error. Medication dosing is based on weight. Because the recorded weight was incorrect, my cat was given an injection dosed for a cat twice her size and I was sent home with incorrect medication instructions. Thankfully, I reviewed the records carefully and caught the error before administering additional medication. The drugs involved were not ones that would have caused a fatal reaction at that dose, but that does not make this acceptable. The lack of attention to detail and basic safety protocols is extremely concerning. Accuracy in medical records and proper triage are fundamental standards of care. Pet owners should not have to double-check medical dosing to ensure their animal’s safety. I hope the clinic takes this seriously and implements safeguards to prevent this from happening to another pet.
