The Cat & Dog Hospital of Portland has been our trusted family vet since we got Willow about a year and a half ago. Throughout this time, they've consistently provided outstanding care, guiding us through the various challenges of dog ownership. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Whether it's been routine check-ups or more urgent issues when Willow gets into strange things, they've always been there to help with kindness and professionalism. We couldn't be more grateful for the peace of mind they provide. Highly recommend!

I initially began going to cat and dog hospital because it was conveniently close to my apartment. I have since moved across town, but I continue to go for the excellent service and care. I always have a pleasant experience from start to finish. Reception is kind and warm and all of the doctors and vet techs are excellent! They clearly love what they do. 10/10 recommend!

As the Vet Industry changes, I can always rely on the friendliness of the staff. I very much appreciate the thoroughness of Dr. Lu, one of the Vets. He is detailed in his examinations and explains whatever the issue is, in details and in words that I understand. ;-). I have never felt like a 'number' prevalent in so many corporate vet clincis.

I can’t say enough good things about Cat & Dog Hospital of Portland! I adopted my orange boy about 3 years ago and I am a first time cat mom to a senior cat. The staff has been immensely kind and helpful. My boy was recently diagnosed with CKD and their support has meant the world to me. Dr. Houser was the one to break the news to me and I couldn’t imagine a better vet to be there for me. In moments of stress it’s hard to comprehend and retain all the info that’s being given to me. However she did an amazing job in explaining it to me and her kindness and compassion meant the world to me. I would also like to extend my appreciation to Leslie. She is the most amazing vet tech ever! I swear she has some magic powers because the way she’s able to keep my feisty boy grounded and relaxed blows my mind. She taught me how to do the subq fluids and I can’t thank her enough. And lastly, a huge shoutout to Wendy and David at the front desk. Sometimes I feel like I’m being annoying because I email and call so often but not once have they ever made me feel like I am being too much. They’ve been so kind, helpful, and accommodating. I can’t imagine a better place to take my Kuzya (Kuzi) boy. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a vet for their kitty. To the most amazing staff ever, thank you again! Your support and compassion means the world to me.

Cat + Dog Hospital surpasses ALL expectations I have ever had for a cat vet. The team is incredible: from the front desk, to the techs, to Dr. Woodside herself. Reasons they are amazing: They diagnosed and have managed my elderly cat's pancreatitis for a few years (A sick 11-lb to healthy 15-lb). Then, my cat got sick after eating lilies and I called for nausea medicine. Wendy saved his life (!!) by urgently alerting me lilies were poisonous and referring me to the kitty ER. Despite being under ICU care in another hospital, Dr. Woodside still called to check on him a few days later after hearing what happened. They truly care and that cannot be faked. Cat + Dog always finds a way to fit you in, provide you detailed explanations and alternatives for services, and follow through with every concern and commitment you ask. They are so good to my grumpy, old boy and have become like family to us in the last three years. (Honorable mention that Dr. Woodside and Leslie even traveled abroad to help provide care for animals on the streets in their FREE TIME because that's how special they are.) Choosing them for my old boy's care was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Wonderful, caring, thorough vet care! Over the last 5 years, I've seen several vets and lot of vet techs here and they have all been great. They are so patient, kind, and knowledgeable. The follow-up on test results is great too. And my favorite part, they do almost all of the care, injections, lab draws, etc. in the exam room rather than taking my cat away which is so much less traumatic for all of us!

This vet is amazing! I have been going here for upwards of three years and wouldn't go anywhere else. The prices are medium but you won't get as good of a vets and vet assistances for the price anywhere else. I have two cats with very different personalities. One is a huge and I mean huge (healthy weight in his prime was around 16 to 17 pounds hes old now and it's still 11 to 10 pounds!) The other is Itty bitty (6 ish pounds full grown) and I mean it her last owner sucked. Not only did they help me get the small one to a safe weight to spay her but they also where the only vet I trusted to spay her. The small one has had so many problems over the years and they have helped with every one. My large one use to get treated very poorly at old vets I went to cause he looks very intimidating. These vets are so nice to him and relise he just looks scary but is a huge softy. These are the best vets in the area in my opinion and are more than trust worthy with your fur babies.
