I absolutely LOVE the attention Dr. Garg and his wonderful team give to my little guy! Very compassionate and takes the time to answer all my questions. I've been bringing my corgi since he was a pup, now he is two years old and healthy! We are big fans of this clinic and would definitely recommend!
Dr. Nakamura and Christina were wonderful! Everyone in the office is very caring and attentive. They definitely took care of our puppy!
I am a huge fan of this vet clinic - their vets (both Dr. Hoque and Dr. Garg) are wonderful and so is their care team. The pricing is more than reasonable - and they’re very good about asking for approval and making sure you know costs before treatment - but the real reason to come here is the team. The vets will have thorough conversations with you about your pet’s diagnosis or symptoms and discuss how and why they recommend a specific treatment. When you talk with them, you see the vets really know their craft. Dr. Hoque actually corrected an incorrect diagnosis from my dogs ophthalmologist (yes, my dog has an ophthalmologist…. Idk how I became this person) and probably saved him his vision. He also caught signs of arthritis early enough that we could prevent it from developing in my senior pup, allowing him more years in less pain. My most recent visit was for my dog’s sensitive stomach and Dr. Garg could have easily just given him an antibiotic and sent him on his way. But we talked through anything potentially serious and how to watch out for things getting worse, discussed which tests made sense given likely illnesses and outcomes and my dog left already on the mend (tbh I think everyone - animal or human - feels better after spending time with Dr. Garg). Photos below of him before (sad) and after (smiling) for proof of the magic they do there.
I would like to share my heartfelt thankfulness with regards to my visit just recently with Shaina and Dr. Nakamura. (sorry for the spelling of name ladies) They showed such kindness and empathy for my baby boy Preshis Jr. who had infection and teeth pulled due to my neglect of his teeth cleanings.I was broken to hear that he needed so much care but again it was my fault for letting others and life consume me. Long story short, my baby has become a firery little boy, not easy to handle for his best interest. lol The staff gave their TLC that made me feel comfortable to leave my baby in their immediate care. Shaina even called to check on my baby that was in pain and advised me how to administer his medication for his immediate needs. I just can't say enough about the kindness, understanding and care I have received from this practice. I would highly recommend this warm and loving team with your furry family as needed. Thank you so much!!! God bless all of your staff in Jesus Name, Amen.
I have been bringing my dogs here for over a year before it was Olive Animal Hospital, and I cannot say enough good things about the staff and improvements they made to the office. It was the first time my dog really relaxed here, not to mention the staff really knows what they’re doing when it comes to working with my dog who is incredibly anxious and has always struggled with vet visits. The prices are very reasonable, and it feels great to know my dogs are in good hands.
I have been working with Dr. Garg lately with my cat, who had a rough 2023 and has been on quite a health journey with everything from heart disease to diabetes to a liver condition. Dr. Garg has an excellent bedside manner with my kitties, and he is really competent and smart. I really appreciate how I never feel pressured to do expensive testing, and he is always very honest about what is necessary and when, and what is going to help with treatment and what will just be informative. I appreciate the natural options he has given me and the support when my cat was having a really hard time. I work with human immunology, and he works with pet immunology and I always feel that he is open to learning and looking at things I want to try. He was supportive when I wanted to go learn a ton about cat diabetes and try Constant Glucose Meters and blood glucose testing at home (diabetes can be overwhelming as heck, but I was really committed to making food changes safely and trying to get my cat into remission, and we succeeded!). I felt Dr. Garg was really looking out for my cat's safety when he gave feedback. Changing food can really impact blood glucose and insulin needs, and the whole thing took work and perseverance. The staff are very kind, personable, and empathetic and will definitely give your pet enough admiration to give them a big head. We are regulars because of my oldest cat's chronic health issues. We've been working on itching and hair loss and liver issues lately. This is a vet hospital where the exams are very affordable, so you can afford to bring multiple pets or focus on the tests, meds, supplements, and therapies to get your pets healthy. I believe they just started providing care for exotics! I have been going to this vet hospital since early 2023 when Dr. Hoque worked there. We had a heck of a year for cat health, and I was able to afford care for all three of the boys I had at the time. I really appreciated Dr. Hoque's extensive cardiology experience when we almost lost one of my cats to congestive heart failure at the ER. We have been going here long enough to have had one cat pass. He died of a freak medical condition no one could have predicted, and Dr. Hoque had recommended an x-ray and rushed it out to a radiology specialist. It was all the right testing, but the diagnosis was very rare and could not have been predicted or seen on labs previously. I was a mess when I brought my beloved cat in, and they gave me some time to grieve and an extremely affordable option to have him cremated. This place is a little extra drive for me, but it's one of the better vets I've had in years, and they're open later and on weekends when my cats like to break. 🙂
Absolutely horrendous! The Animal Hospital of Pleasanton has been a complete disaster for our family. When Lucky broke his leg on December 10, 2023, we put our trust in this facility. Big mistake. Dr. Hani Korani, an outsourced surgeon who clearly prioritizes profit over care, performed the surgery on December 12 and prematurely declared it a "success." What a joke. The true nightmare began when Dr. Hoque removed the bandage on December 23, advising us to leave the wound open—against our better judgment, we complied. This so-called "professional" advice quickly proved catastrophic. By December 26, Lucky's surgical site was a horror show, with the metal implant sticking out and signs of infection rampant. Rushing back to this disgrace of a hospital, we were flabbergasted when Dr. Hoque casually suggested amputation as if it were nothing! Their incompetence had escalated to a critical point. We had no choice but to turn to Ironhorse Vet Care, who did what they could but ultimately confirmed our worst fears: amputation was inevitable. After three months of waiting and attempting to contact the owner for accountability, we've been met with silence. The owner has shamelessly deflected all responsibility to their insurance company, which has outrageously refused to pay for their malpractice. All this, and we're left with bills exceeding $8,000, not including the endless costs for the necessary amputation. The agony and frustration this has caused our family is immeasurable. The Animal Hospital of Pleasanton's negligence is unforgivable, and their lack of accountability is appalling. I warn you—avoid this place at all costs unless you want to subject your beloved pet to gross medical mismanagement and your family to heartache and financial ruin.
