Very pleasant experience, as always. This was my second time being referred to this facility by my veterinarian for specialized services, and I couldn’t be happier with the care provided. They offer affordable ultrasounds for pets, and the entire staff was wonderful. Gabrielle at the front desk was especially amazing, and the clinic itself has a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere inside. Highly recommended. Also, for any fellow veterans, they do offer veteran discounts if you ask, which is definitely a nice bonus around here. 😉

The staff here took care of my girl and Dr. Jacobson had to do an emergency procedure. He was very kind and delivered the news as delicately as possible that our time was limited. Only about 4 days after our visit she unfortunately passed away in her sleep but we did all we could. She at least seemed very comfortable in her last few days.

I can’t even begin to explain what an incredible experience this was for us and for our dog! The environment is calm and welcoming which immediately reduces stress for all involved. The staff is kind, patient and caring. They took as much time as needed to make sure our dog was comfortable and that we understood every possible scenario and outcome. We can’t thank them all enough for being so amazing!

Dr. Rittenburg and her staff saved my pup. She had been seen daily at her vet office for over a week, then spent another 4 days in the animal hospital and NO ONE took care of her and performed the right tests like Dr. Rittenburg. She has always been so compassionate and responsive when I needed her. I feel really lucky (understatement) to have found her and that I took my fur baby in for a second opinion. Every day I get to snuggle my pup and am grateful for this practice. They are truly kind souls.

I was referred to the clinic by my primary vet when my frenchie started having increased thirst issues and we were hitting a wall with finding a solution. I was able to get an appointment scheduled right away! The office is beautiful, clean and very welcoming. I can’t say enough about the staff-from the front desk to the nurses to Doctor Rebecca, everyone is so friendly and amazing. They were so sweet to my dog and explained everything to me. It’s a very calm environment that is not as stressful as your every day vet. They were well prepared before my visit and had done plenty of research on my dog’s history. They were able to write up a treatment plan for me quickly and set up an appointment the next day to get all her tests done! I felt so comfortable leaving her there all day even having just been introduced to the staff. I can’t say enough good things about Heather, Dr. Rebecca, Kiersten and the entire staff. They got me fast results for my baby and are helping to find a solution and we feel very validated and cared for! Don’t hesitate to bring your pets here!! I only wish they provided primary care so I could bring my pets here for everything!

When my 14yo dog was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, Charleston Veterinary Internal Medicine got us in almost immediately. When I arrived at the first appointment, Gabby at the front desk was calming and welcoming. When we were taken back by Heather, she was so kind and supportive that I genuinely cried tears of relief. Dr. Rittenberg is so knowledgeable and thorough. She is straightforward yet compassionate. After our first appt, she gently let me know that it would be ideal for Saki to be hospitalized for fluids. Since then, we have come in for weekly appointments, and everyone has been fantastic. Dr. Rittenberg even gave me diaper rash cream that she had in her purse (apparently she has a toddler) because Saki had been experiencing incontinence and had urine burn! They even made us an ornament with Saki’s paw print (picture below). Dr. Rittenberg, Heather, Amanda and Gabby are absolutely phenomenal. I’m extremely grateful for the entire team, and I highly recommend them!

I wanted to give a huge thank you to Dr. Rittenberg and Heather. Duck was referred to you guys on a Wednesday where we found out he had cancer, liver and pancreas failure. This was something that was a complete shock to us. We were brought in immediately, treated with compassion and they spent a long time with us listening and talking. I was in constant communication with the Dr over the Christmas weekend as Duck began to decline. The day after Christmas Dr. Rittenberg and Heather came in and helped us work through the humane process of letting Duck go. We spent a long time there this morning saying goodbye, we never felt rushed and had the warmest hugs and the most supportive team. The process of losing be a pet is terrible but I am so so so grateful for this practice and it’s people.
