Im no stranger to Alameda Animal Hospital. Years ago Dr Eskew used to see my pitbull Philly from a little pup all the way until she was 13 and I had to put her down. Dr Eskew and the staff were so patient with me during that process and allowed me to sit with my dog a bit before finally administering the meds. They also sent me a card in the mail shortly after her passing. Back in May I adopted a dog and immediately brought him to Alameda Animal Hospital since I had such a good experience with my last dog. This time my dog was examined by Dr Hawkins and she was friendly and did a very thorough check up on my boy. She also recommended some over the counter items I could get for some minor issues my dog was experiencing. I absolutely love all of the people at Alameda Animal Hospital. They're always spoiling my dog with turkey and when they have treat samples available they alway make a lil treat bag for my dog and I really appreciate that. I also like that they now have a couple different ways to remind you of upcomng appointments.
By far the best vet I’ve been to. The entire staff shows a high level of care to the animals as well as being friendly and excellent at their job. The doctors have been amazing and have always been willing to go the extra mile to make sure we fully understand what’s going on and what our options are. They’ve put in an incredible amount of time and effort trying to get to the bottom of my dog’s issues, and it’s clear they truly care about the animals they treat. I’ve never felt rushed, dismissed, or like they’ve pushed a treatment that wasn’t necessary and that level of dedication means a lot. I recommend them to anyone looking for a vet who genuinely cares.
They were ok, not the most friendly. When I received my records some of her information was incorrect (her age, etc.) I do understand burnout and bad days happen, but every time I was there .. they seemed completely over me and they didn’t even acknowledge my dogs existence. No "hey girl//hey buddy". To me it’s always been very important to acknowledge my patients and my clients. I don’t want to rate them less because it’s not that they did anything horrible, just wasn’t for me. - I just don’t feel like they cared too much for my dog.. I want to find a place that really loves my pup like I do. I have been there 3x within the year for various reasons (checkup, vaccines, problem consult, etc). Each time they were very non chalant and seemed bothered when I asked for an estimate, it’s not that I even ever declined anything- I just like to know so I can transfer money from my savings ahead of time. I wish them the best in their future, but I will be finding a new Veterinarian that shows me my puppy is in good hands. Edit: they put on her records I declined multiple things… I didn’t! I would never decline vaccines for my dog- I work in vet med and understand their importance.
Brought my puppy in. She ended up having pneumonia. The staff was great, the doctors were great and it was very affordable. This will definitely be our new vet. Thank you guys!!
Very friendly, changing vets due to referral they knew my contact & appreciated her telling me about them. I had the BEST experience, #1 got to spend time with the vet, Dr. Tyler is amazing knowledgeable friendly, & my dogs loved her, dogs know good people #2 in & out in less then 1.5hrs with 2 dogs #3 they price match Chewy.com #4 my bill with all their expensive heart worm & flea chewable meds was $300 less then what I paid at other vet not to mention the $50 in rebates I need to send in. #5 ALL the staff were so kind, even had me switch rooms when 1 peed, so they could clean it up. So happy I switched vets. 100% coming back next year. My 2 fur children only deserve the best, & they got it here.
As soon as I stepped in I felt welcome, they took time with my fur baby, (Buddy). They seemed to really care about making sure buddy was healthy. And explained everything to me where I'd understand , 🥰. I'd recommend them to all my friends and family.
I love this vet so much! They treated my pet like their own. I’ll be driving down from Edmond to Norman to have him cared for here from now on! They are very transparent about pricing and have your pets best interest in mind above all else. Dr. Hawkins and the rest of the staff are incredible! <3
