Reade Street Animal Hospital, A Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner

I LOVE Reade Street, I had been going to their location on St. Marks which has closed but they had ALL of my records, did a thorough but easy wellness check on both of my cats, gave them their vaccines and reminded me/ alerted me to possible conditions that could escalate with my cats and gave me a very thorough advice (with prices if it involved further vet care) as how to proceed. They’re gentle, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful if you have any questions. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently started bringing my cat, Olive, here because they partner with Thrive. I used to bring Olive to a Thrive Affordable Vet Clinic when we lived in Denver and was very happy with their care. Through Reade’s Thrive program we are able to receive unlimited free exams, 10% of services, and $5 nail trims. This has already worked out very well as I recently had to bring Olive to the emergency vet. While the emergency vet was able to rule out certain things, they discharged us with instructions to get a biopsy from our regular vet. Reade was able to fit us in for an appointment the very next day. They treated Olive with care and explained what tests we would need to run as well as things to keep an eye on at home. The only complaint I have is that they don’t seem to have payment plan for large expenses. I have a pretty tight budget and $350+ ($500+ without the Thrive membership) up front is definitely not in that budget. Fortunately, my family was able to help me out, but it would be great if Reade could offer Scratchpay or CareCredit for things like cytology, blood testing, etc.

This is my first visit to Reade Street with one of my pets. The staff are welcoming and professional and I was reassured that my cat was seen by Dr. Abrams, who is an excellent veterinarian. I'm glad to make Reade Street my cats' new medical home.

Superb care and follow-up both in and out of the office (email, phone, text). I highly recommend this practice -- from the doctor(s) to the tech and reception staff. Extremely responsive to our cat's and our own needs.

Dr. P and all of the staff at Reade Street Animal Hospital are wonderful! They are unfailingly helpful and have an ability to make my dog feel comfortable that I haven’t seen at other vets. Dr. P and Dr. Singh are knowledgeable, caring and put the wellbeing of your pet first. I travel from Brooklyn to Reade Street and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for vet care.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this veterinarian. We got our first dog a year ago and they have been incredibly helpful for us navigating all of his care and needs. The vets and techs are so gentle with the dog, providing him great care every single time he needs a shot or a blood draw or treatment. They treat me and all the other owners with respect and thoughtfulness -- they always call and leave voicemails and send emails about test results and appointments. Super helpful in providing clarification about medication and conditions and development. Especially when he was a puppy, I had so many questions and they made me feel comfortable and supported and let me call as many times as I need to. Can't recommend them enough! They are always able to get us in for appointments (even last minute) and did a great job with his neuter operation.

After trying out several vets I can wholeheartedly say this is the best vet I have come across in NYC. Dr. P is the nicest and one of the most caring and thorough vets I have ever come across. She really has been my dog’s angel and goes above and beyond making sure my dog is doing well especially when she has been going through major surgery. Highly recommend!!
