VCA Contra Costa Animal Hospital

Everything from the receptionist, through the technicians, to a doctor Crawford is amazing here. It took us 5 years to find the vet that we actually trust, and that our dog is okay with. Everyone here is very friendly, helpful and understanding. Doctor Crawford was able to walk us through very stressful time, the way that we felt very supported and feeling that she knows what she is doing. I truly appreciate her and the whole staff. Highly recommend.

We’ve been coming here since January 2021 and don’t plan to ever go anywhere else. Dr Crawford and the entire VCA staff are simply the best! Pote (my pup pictured waiting for his turn) LOVES it here, he’s not afraid to come get care and that means the world to me. I appreciate how thorough and transparent the doctors are with their explanations and treatment options. We also come here for regular ear plucking services which help us prevent ear infections and again, we always receive the best care! 10/10 recommend

Dr. Crawford and Dr. Wong are amazing! They are both very kind, compassionate doctors who are really smart at what they do. And the best of all - THEY LISTEN! They don't make me feel like a crazy pet parent, even though I am, and never judge me when I admit I haven't followed all the guidelines to the T. I love coming here and so does my kitten 🙂

Like so many others, we have had a fantastic experience taking our Golden Retriever to Contra Costa Animal hospital. The care we have received from Dr Crawford and Dr Linda has been great and are dog literally loves the staff there. She used to have terrible anxiety going to our previous vet and this morning, she ran from the car to the door of building she was so excited to get in and see everyone. This is the kind of place everyone who loves dogs would want for them to receive their care.

Dr Crawford and Dr Wu were both fabulous helping me navigate through various health issues with our older cat, Tucker. Tucker wasn’t always the best patient (Dr Crawford said he would swear at her when they took him to the back for procedures) but she kept him healthy and it was always a pleasure to go see her. I very much appreciated her patience and clear explanations even when Tucker didn’t! She and Dr Wu were also great with our labradoodle. We had to leave the practice because our daughter graduated from vet school and joined a different practice. I love my daughter and am very proud of her, but I was so sad to leave Contra Costa Veterinary. Moraga is very lucky to have these two talented doctors!

Dr. Crawford was great! It was definitely the best vet visit we've ever had. She did a very thorough initial exam and took her time chatting with us about our dogs' health and any concerns we had. Everyone working in the office were awesome too, they loved on our pups and were very helpful! So happy to have been recommended to see Dr. Crawford!

Communication was quite spotty here, the structured "subscription" model was system quite expensive, it's unfortunate the model of care here felt purely commercial- would try another location outside the VCA group.
