I brought my canary, Julia, because she was very weak and not doing well. The care we received was absolutely amazing — the staff treated her with so much love, patience, and kindness. Thanks to them, my little Julita recovered, and I couldn’t be happier or more grateful! 💛🐤 Thank you for taking such beautiful care of her — it truly meant the world to me.

I brought my bearded dragon in for concerns of his breathing pattern. His chest was having a lot of dramatic movement (with and without gaping). We saw a male vet who was very dismissive of our concerns. He is also an "exotic vet" but printed out a google sheet on what bugs he should be eating and how frequently, instead of answering our questions on the spot to confirm our husbandry was correct. When we showed multiple videos of our bearded dragon’s breathing patterns, he chalked it up to him "thermoregulating". We left with our google sheet $130 later with a weird gut feeling that something still was not right with our bearded dragon. 2 weeks after this appointment, we went to VCA animal hospital in south dade for a second opinion, and saw an exotic vet who offered an x-ray for our bearded dragon. This vet found that our bearded dragon does in fact have either an upper respiratory infection, or scar tissue that formed from a prior upper respiratory infection, which was causing our bearded dragon to have distressed breathing. Our bearded dragon is now being treated with antibiotics and his x-ray is going to a radiologist for further evaluation. I would never recommend Paws & Claws to anyone who truly cares for the best quality for their animals, exotic or not. I hope the vet sees this review and makes changes in his demeanor and learn from this mistake.

The service here is excellent. I visited this clinic because my hamster, Sirius Sarabi, had an eye infection. The care we received was incredible and fast. Hamsters usually get stressed when handled, but my little girl left the consultation feeling completely calm. The staff is highly professional and truly cares about the well-being of the animals.

Had to bring my bearded dragon in for an emergency check-up and was able to schedule an appointment for the very next day. All of the staff were professional, knowledgeable and kind, and I was seated in an exam room promptly upon arrival. It's not always so easy to find a good exotic vet and you can tell that Dr. de Armas and his staff are serious about providing quality care for your animals.

Great service, staff are kind and friendly. Blue tongue skink was sick and the doctor identified the issue and helped bring him back to health smoothly. I would recommend this place to others, the doctor is responsible, thorough, and genuinely cares about the wellbeing of the animals.

I would recommend Paws and Claws Medical Center for your beloved fur babies! The entire staff is very professional, welcoming, knowledgeable, and caring. They are easy to get in contact with and respond quickly. We are seen by Dr. Ramon and he has been very helpful and empathetic. The front staff are always friendly and responsive. The office is clean and organized and they always offer coffee and have treats out (for us humans)! My bunnies and I are very happy that we found them 💕

My boyfriend just called this place to get an estimate on how much it would cost to get our bunny neutered. While I understand every animal is different, let’s be real we are talking about a small bunny. How much of a variation in cost can there possibly be to neuter a bunny lol. On top of that they said it would be a 145 dollar consultation fee. What a scam.
