Animal Eye Guys - Miami Gardens

I am very disappointed with the way my dog’s urgent medical situation was handled by the clinic’s front desk staff. My 7-month-old Maltese puppy has glaucoma, a serious condition that can lead to permanent vision loss. We already had an appointment scheduled for May 18, but when his second eye became inflamed, I brought him in immediately because of the urgency of the situation. I was told this was considered an emergency, yet the response from the front desk was cold, dismissive, and lacked professionalism and compassion. At no point did I feel that the seriousness of my dog’s condition was treated appropriately. As an existing client who has already invested significant time and money into my dog’s treatment, I expected much better communication, empathy, and urgency from the administrative staff. I hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously and improves the way urgent cases and concerned pet owners are treated.

My trouble is that they don’t update on Google that this location is not open on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s. It was really difficult to get through to anyone at all of their Sth Florida locations - after multiple tries, Fort Lauderdale lady picked up and told me they are short staffed and they rotate vets. Bird Rd location will be closed on Friday. I needed an urgent appointment but they were not able to accommodate us, the lady on the phone expressed zero concern for how serious my dog’s eye problem is (happened very fast, she’s only a 4lb Yorkie). Given that they have 5 locations, and I was willing to drive up to any - needles to say I was disappointed. I called around and Dr Tucci in Homestead was the only one that understood the problem and she’s making room for us tomorrow at 8am. It’s a long drive from Miami Beach - but we are going there with a grateful heart

I’ve been bringing my little one to get his eye checked for a few years now and I recommend it! Dr. Martinez and the ENTIRE team are amazing! They always treat Bunichi and I with love and respect. The facility is clean. I’m grateful for this place!

The doctors and staff at Animal Eye Guys are truly excellent…knowledgeable, compassionate, and clearly dedicated to the animals they treat. Unfortunately, the wait times are consistently very long, which can be frustrating and stressful for both pets and owners. If the scheduling and flow were improved, this practice would be outstanding (5 stars).

Everyone was so nice and helpful. You know how receptionist tell you "We'll call you if someone cancels" and they never call you...well someone canceled and they did call us and we were able to get an earlier appointment. We waited maybe 5 minutes in the lobby while we checked in and were quickly called to the back. Carolyn took down all of Gizmo's information, she listened carefully to Gizmo's extensive medical history. Dr. Jessica Martinez was so patient and gentle with our senior chihuahua...all of the tests and exams were done in the same room we were in, he was never taken to "the back". They all handled Gizmo carefully due to his bad back. He was at ease. They explained everything very clearly. They also provided a well written report with all medications and instructions for us to follow. They followed up the next day to check up on him. They are good about answering the phone, scheduling and rescheduling. I highly recommend them.

Amazing clinic. The staff is very attentive, nice and patient. Dr. Alamo is great and professional. They took a great care of my dog Snow and prescribed treatment for his dry eye. Special thanks for amazing customer service support to Jennifer from Coral Springs location who assisted me and supported with my appointment. Great atmosphere and vibes. I strongly recommend this clinic.

Cocoa (my 13 y.o. Shih Tzu) developed cataracts and glaucoma. I was beside myself. Cocoa is being seen for almost a year. Last week he had to undergo an eye procedure. Again, I was a wreck. Dr Bertram answered all my questions and followed up twice the very next day. The entire staff goes beyond the call of duty. Whether it’s for a prescription refill, or an appointment, their professionalism is epic, every-single-time. Thank you 🙏🏼 so much for all you do!!!
