They were so friendly and very attentive with my kitten trouble. He doesn't take to people that well but he was laid back with not a care in the world I would highly recommend them .

The staff at this location is absolutely amazing. I called them in the morning after our primary vet left us high and dry and the emergency mobile vet not having any available slots and Boonsboro moved mountains to see my girl. They were through, kind and understanding. They have lifelong patients for our family, truly don't know what we would do without them.

Updating my review -- still at 5 stars. It is now 40 years since I started taking my precious dogs to Boonsboro Animal Hospital. Lots has changed over the years, but the care is still the best. When it changed to VCA Boonsboro, they didn't miss a beat. The vets are wonderful and the staff is compassionate and caring. All 3 of my current crew have been with them since puppyhood and they are helping the older two navigate their senior years with thoroughness and compassion. Looking forward to many more years of working together. For almost 29 years our dogs have been cared for by the folks at Boonsboro Animal Hospital. We've been through tough times and the sadness of saying good-bye, but we've also had the joy of good health and timely intervention and many years of happy and healthy Poodles . Nobody could ask for better care or more compassion than from Dr. Case and Dr. McConnell and all the staff at Boonsboro Animal Hospital. They are always willing to help, educate and provide the latest and best standard of care. We are so grateful to them.

I never had issues with this clinic until I brought my almost 10yr old cat in because of a tooth infection. I was given an estimate for numerous things, roughly $1200, but I requested to try a cheaper option first. Upon this request I was sent home with an antibiotic. After about a month I took my cat back in because I was aware that there needed to be more help provided for him. I was given another estimate ($1700-$2100). I, of course, wanted to discuss this with my husband as it was a large financial decision. I was told after telling the doctor that I wanted to discuss with my husband before making a decision, that I either needed to surrender my cat to the humane Society or euthanize him because he "deserves better care." I will never go back to this establishment. No one should ever be treated like this just because they want to make an informed decision rather than an emotional one. And it should never be assumed that just because I am going to have a child that I have "other priorities." I love my cat and care for him deeply, but we will be seeking care elsewhere.

I called this place last week concerning the failing health of our beloved bullmastiff Sasha. Sasha has been deteriorating over the last couple of months because of her age, 12, so we knew she was extremely uncomfortable and I decided to go online and find a Vet who would be able to make a house call to put Sasha to rest. I called and spoke to one of the assistants and explained our situation and I was informed that the standard price of euphanizing a dog Sasha’s size was $295.00 period. I asked if I could speak to the Vet who would be making the house call ( by the way we live off Coffee Road, less than a mile away) so I was told the Vet wouldn’t be back until Tuesday morning around 9:00 and that she would call me back to see if we could work something out with high price. Tuesday rolled by and no return phone call so I called again yesterday (Wednesday January 12) to speak to the Vet but again she was off and I left another message for her to call me back since Sasha was going down hill quickly and we were making every effort to make her comfortable. Today, Thursday January 13 at 9:00 AM Sasha passed away and approximately an hour and a half later I get a voicemail from this wonderful and compassionate Animal hospital that there’s no compromise on the price, the Vet is too busy to even talk to me and basically good luck finding someone else to put Sasha out of her misery! This is what you get when an international corporation like Mars buys up all the animal hospitals around the country, it’s nothing but big business and big money but rest assured VCA, I will never inquire of your services or use them after what you put our family through, it’s not about compassion anymore it’s about the almighty dollar.
