Awful, money hungry, vets office. Brought my cat in today for their "free visit" only to find out that the fine print requires a purchase. Other veterinary offices provide the exam free of charge without this predatory attempt at gouging patients for money. Not to mention the exam itself was blatantly inadequate for a veterinary office. Completely unprofessional and inept staff. Highly advise AGAINST visiting such a greed driven establishment!

They saved our beloved cat, Ollie, by performing emergency surgery on extremely short notice when other local providers could not. We will be forever grateful for both their compassion and technical skills in veterinary medicine. P.S. he’s back to his usual bad self. But I think he appreciates it as well!

We are getting ready to travel with our pets and needed to get USDA certification for them. This vet knew everything about the procedure, knew it was a short timeframe and kept on them to get it sent out, and absolutely went above and beyond to make sure our cats are able to fly with us with no issues. I cannot ask for a better clinic and doctor. Thank you so much Dr. Deren!

They overcharge you and "require" unnecessary exams, and unnecessary medicines that are not required. If you question them or do not agree with what they tell you, you have to do then they say you are combative and not doing what’s best for your dog. It is more expensive than ever to be a pet owner. You would think that these veterinarians would try and work with us so we don’t drop them off at the shelters because we can’t afford to give them the medicine. They need to stay healthy apparently not If you want to be overcharged and given recommendations that are unnecessary and expensive, then spend your money here. I also think they may have caused some brain damage in my youngest dog after he was neutered. No way to prove it, but the dog went backwards and never potty trained again after he was neutered.

I had a great experience here! All of the staff was very friendly to both me and my dog, Albee. The vet, I did not catch her name, was very thorough and even informed me that the medication my dog needed was on the more expensive side so that I wasn't blindsided and could make my decision beforehand. When I left, I felt all of my questions were answered, and my concerns were heard. 10/10 would recommend.

The team at st matthews animal clinic has been so helpful! They are always patient with me and my dog both. I appreciate all of their support and hard work. I have a German shepherd and he gets a little nervous to come to the vet. The staff always makes sure to do what they can to make our visit pleasant. The vet tech even sat down on the floor with treats to help my dog feel more comfortable. My dog is my world and I have the confidence to say I can trust the staff here! I appreciate all of their kindness and hard work!

I brought my cat in a couple months ago not knowing what was wrong, just that he had blood in his urine and he was having problems urinating. No other vets could see him immediately and I was very worried. When I call St. Matthews Animal Clinic and explained his situation, they told me to bring him in right away. Found out he has Strutive Crystals and was in severe pain due to trying to pass them. He also could have had a blockage which can be fatal if not treated immediately. They took care of him, calmed me down, and they were so sweet and considerate of "our" needs. I have since started taking my pup there too and I couldn’t be more grateful. Wonderful, caring and willing to be there in our time of need.
