Livewell Animal Hospital of Anchorage

I took one of my frenchies to see Dr. Thompson for routine vaccines. I’ve known the doctor for a long time through business and knew he’d be perfect to take my perfect girl to see. The staff from the front to the back was wonderful and super engaging with Darla! The practice is pretty and clean and are great to work with!

I was skeptical about going to a new place for my dogs but when my veterinarian changed offices I decided to try Livewell in Anchorage, just off 265. It is conveniently located near Middletown, in a new building, very clean and their attention-to-detail is unbeatable. The individual attention to the needs of my dogs is amazing. Dr Thompson and Dr. Townsend are excellent and experienced professional vets. I highly recommend Livewell.

Dr. Thompson was amazing! Staff was very nice and gave excellent service. Dr. Thompson helped our baby Sheba with her knee injury. He explained all the options clearly and how we could move forward with the best option that would work best for her. He was absolutely correct! The procedure was very very reasonable. I would highly recommend Dr. Thompson for your fur babies:-) Sheba had a really great recovery and is back to her playful self and taking long walks again. Thank you to everyone!

We took our Fanny Mae for her first vet appt, though we have had past pets for many years with Dr. Thompson. He is the best! He is thorough, kind and answers and explains questions and procedures. My dogs have always loved going to this vet! The whole team is friendly, kind and very professional. Very happy here!

By far, the best veterinarian clinic that I’ve ever experienced and I’ve traveled all over the United States and Central America from California to Florida and all the way to Costa Rica. They love your pet as much as you do and they are so good at communicating with you and being respectful and understanding, caring and compassionate. I would choose Livewell before any other animal hospital/veterinary clinic that I’ve ever been to hands-down!

I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. Let’s stay with the first visit is free. What?! Never had that with all my pets in various states. It really helped as my dog had a lot going on that needed addressed. She was having severe allergies (Kentucky!) and I picked Livewell after looking thru many reviews. This vet was the only one that was reviewed for allergies. Dr. Townsend was so calm with our dog who does not like her head touched and needed medicine in her ear which hurt her. She was very knowledgeable and answered our million questions. Even the tech was super helpful informing us that Costco carried the expensive allergy med for about half the price. It’s been almost a week and Piper is SO much better. This clinic is not close to my house but I won’t go anywhere else!

I cannot recommend this place enough. My dog has a very hard time at the vet. The staff allowed her to come for a happy visit, where she was able to sniff around and have treats. On the day of her actual appointment, they were calm and accommodating to my dog's needs, while still efficient and getting the job done. The staff was incredible and kind throughout
