I inherited an elderly Maltese a year ago and sadly, she had a stroke and needed to join her owner. This vet was so good about handling the care without insane overcharging, or long lines, I think about switching care for my dog from the vet I've used for more than 20 years.

Larchmont Village Vet is truly wonderful. The entire team is incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely caring toward both pets and their owners. You can immediately tell how much they love animals by the way they handle them—so gentle, calm, and attentive. They always take the time to explain everything clearly, answer questions, and make sure you never feel rushed. It’s such a relief knowing your pet is in the hands of people who truly care, not just about treatment but about your animal’s comfort and well-being. I’m so grateful to have found a vet I completely trust. Highly recommend!

I chose a vet prior to coming to Larchmont, I immediately walked into this vet and knew I made the correct choice switching. They’re clean, amazingly nice staff and my dog was in great hands. They were so caring towards him that I knew we found our forever vet.

Great experience for my cat Hugo here, who I brought in for routine checkups and a flea and worm infestation. Dr. Moffit (sorry for misspell) is very thorough and communicative—he gives you a full sense of what your options are, the costs, and his recommendations, which is great for ppl who want to make informed decisions while keeping a reasonable eye on the budget. Hugo was well taken care of and is totally healthy now!

Larchmont Village Vet is a great facility. Very carrying, attentive staff & doctors, they take great care of your loved one. when you need them--for follow-up questions, or your pet's charts--they are always there for you & unfailingly courteous & helpful (they recognize your pet from your phone number, so they have all your information at their fingertips anytime you call). It's also a spanking clean office. We've seen two of their doctors and they're always first-rate! Thank you Larchmont Village Vet!!

This is my first experience with the Larchmont Village Vet and everyone was so kind, gave me such attentive time, and really made me feel better about everything. I love my cats so much and the vet and techs really took the time to explain everything, provide me options, and were gentle with two cats who would rather be anywhere but there. I HIGHLY recommend.

Really upsetting to have to write this after so many years of bringing my dog here, along with my brother bringing both of his pets as well. Last Wednesday, my dog suddenly woke up unable to walk, something was clearly wrong with his back right leg. Larchmont couldn’t see him until Friday, so I took him to an emergency vet in the meantime to manage his pain. On Friday, I dropped him off and he was seen by Dr. Drayton, who told me there was a swollen knot on his back leg and prescribed an anti-inflammatory. The next day, Saturday, I received a voicemail asking how my dog was doing. Unfortunately, he had taken a turn for the worse, his leg began bleeding profusely. I rushed him back in, but a vet tech (who I will say was a very nice man and I want to exclude from the horrible experience) saw him for a few seconds and told me they couldn’t see him at all and that I needed to go to an emergency vet. While that was incredibly frustrating, I do understand that clinics have schedules and limited availability. What I cannot accept, however, was the level of care and compassion shown in that moment. From the front desk, specifically Alicia, who showed little to no empathy both that day and during my appointment the day before, to the overall response from the team, I felt completely dismissed. No one helped guide me to an emergency facility, and I was made to feel like an inconvenience during a genuinely frightening situation. Most upsetting of all, I asked multiple times if I could briefly speak with Dr. Drayton. I was told he didn’t have even five minutes. He walked past me in the waiting room twice, and when I called out to him, he didn’t acknowledge me at all. This is a vet who has treated my dog for seven years, and in a moment of crisis, when my dog was actively bleeding, he couldn’t spare even a brief moment of reassurance. I also requested both in person and over the phone that he follow up with me. I have yet to hear anything from anyone at the clinic. My dog ended up having a ruptured abscess and required emergency surgery. At this point, I no longer feel I have a reliable vet for follow-up care, and any hope that this situation would be addressed has been lost due to the complete lack of communication. TL;DR: After nearly a decade as a loyal client, during my dog’s first serious medical emergency, I received no compassion, no communication, and not even a moment of acknowledgment from the vet who had treated him for years. Gutted.
