I want to thank everyone there at Clays Mill Veterinary for showing so compassion on this past Monday when I had to make the most difficult decision to have my Dachshund put to sleep. From the moment that I walked through the door they had my doggy name on the door with a big ❤️ to make me feel more at peace knowing that I was in such a bad situation because I wasn’t really to put him down and they made sure that I was making the best decision that I had to do. One of the staff members met me at my truck to help my best friend carry him in because I just didn’t have the strength to help her. I really wished that I could remember her name because she took good care of me from the time that I got there till the time that I said my goodbyes. I wanted to give them a big shout out to let them know just how wonderful they were and if I could give them a 1,000 stars I totally would Thank you guys so very much for taking care of me and my fur baby.
Dr. Blair and Dr. Korten were wonderful with my scared/unfriendly/anxious cat. From home visits to in office "emergency" visits, they were both reassuring, personable, and patient with my kitty. They were able to give us anxiety medicine for her second visit and she only hissed about 30 times! I call that a success. The office staff are also wonderful. Everyone is so kind, and you can tell they love what they do.
So appreciative of Dr . Blair and all the staff. They were so accommodating with my dogs emergency. They made things easy on me, and are always affordable!!
This place is amazing! I have budgies/parakeets and I couldn't find an Avian vet here in Lexington, KY anywhere. I called a referral service and they referred me to Dr. Blair. He specializes in exotics including birds. Was very kind, gentle with my bird (Pepsi), incredibly informative and very patient with all of my questions. My baby blue little chicken bird was not doing well at all. We're still doing the antibiotics and not quite 100% but Pepsi is doing MUCH better. He's eating, drinking and asking to come out of the cage again. Before, he just sat fluffy near his heater and was just miserable. No chirps, no moving around and sadly lethargic. It was really touch and go. 🙁 We were hoping for the best but expecting a not so happy outcome. So thankful for Dr.Blair and his staff that we discovered them before the inevitable happened. Was expecting to pay a fortune because Clays Mill is the only Avian vet around here but with the office visit, physical exam, culture lab, antibiotics and teaching me how to administer it, the cost was only a little over $200. Some vets are not so nice with their prices or their care but for this vet clinic's hospitality, genuine concern and warmth, I would have gladly paid more. Full recommendation for any animal and their person. 🥰
Amazing place to take for your fur babies. Dr. Korton is an awesome person that will do everything in his power to help you and your babies out. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. They have taken care of all of my animals over the past 10 years and have been simply amazing. Unfortunately we just had to put down our 15-year-old beagle last Saturday and the staff and doctor just went above and beyond to Make this horrible experience as comfortable as possible. Their staff even stayed late on Saturday so we could spend more time with Jackson after they had administered the solution. We never felt rushed and it was just as good as it could have possibly been. I will never take any animal I ever own anywhere other than this place the staff and doctors here are simply phenomenal. You could tell they truly care about you and your pets.
i am so appreciative of the staff and their sympathy as i had to say goodbye to my senior cat last night. the vet was knowledgeable and didn’t sugarcoat anything while still being sympathetic which i so appreciated. he was twenty and FIV+ and i know the staff treated him kindly and did everything they could in handling his care despite the outcome. the staff graciously kept their doors open passed closed to give me time to grieve and even let someone join me in the grieving process after they closed. the front desk staff is exceptional, everything happened so quickly so i don’t remember any names, but i wanted to shout out the vet tech (cassie i believe?) for her sympathy and her care in frank and catching the fluid building in his lungs before i took him home and he passed painfully instead of peacefully like they were able to offer. i want to shoutout the front desk staff especially the woman with more gray hair and fun glasses who owned the one eyed dog who was so extremely sympathetic. the vet i saw let me join them in the employee only section so i could be with my cat in the last bit, kept me informed in every step of the process and let me know his opinion and standpoints as a vet instead of giving me false hope. despite the upsetting reason of losing a pet that brought me there, their kindness and sympathy and love they gave frank in his last few moments has convinced me to bring my other cats and make them permanent patients with them. losing a cat is hard, losing my cat is hard, but they helped make the process easier for me with their patience and sympathy and i couldn’t be more grateful for the short time id spent with them the past couple days. thank you guys for everything you did for him and for me. he was a rare cat that always loved the vet and i’m glad the vet staff made sure that was no different even in his final moments.
