My experience here was amazing! The staff were very transparent about wait times and I didn’t mind considering it was communicated to me. Busy days happen and that’s how life goes. To contradict another review posted before me, my dog also got her temperature checked while she was just in for vaccines. I think it’s important for them to know if your dog is feeling well before administering vaccines no? My dog is owner protective and we learned that today when she snapped at the tech. I felt awful because I wanted the techs safety to be the first priority as I know my girl can be a little testy at times. She was stressed and in an unknown environment as this was our first time here but when she went to the back everything went smoothly. They were very understanding of her behavior and I know Hazel is safe in their care. I reccomend this location to anyone searching for caring workers, thank you 💗
Community Pet Outreach of Lewisville has gone downhill fast. I have been a client for over two years, but I can no longer recommend them. The management seems to be running this place into the ground. They are chronically understaffed, and the service has become negligent. The issues are consistent: 1.Negligent Wait Times: Don't expect to be seen on time. On one visit, we waited an hour in the room, despite showing up on time. On our last visit, my dog had Kennel Cough (highly contagious), and we were forced to wait in the parking lot for an hour and ten minutes past our appointment time. Staff promised a technician would come out to check him, but they never showed up so we took him to a different vet. 2. Lost Records: This is another dealbreaker. We are currently trying to rescue a second dog, but the clinic told the rescue agency we hadn't been there in a year. They completely lost the records of a visit we had just a few weeks ago. If you value your time and accurate medical records, go somewhere else. Community Pet Outreach is currently too disorganized to handle their patient load safely.
Came in after my dog had been limping after our family vacation. Was able to schedule an appointment later in the day which was great cause of my work schedule. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, very thorough and knowledgeable. Savannah was our vet tech and she is fantastic. Can’t say enough about Dr. Appel she was kind and took excellent care of my sweet pup! Will definitely keep coming back for all my future pet needs. Pricing is extremely reasonable and affordable. Now we’re on the road to recovery with pain meds, anti-inflammatories and strict rest. Thanks again to Dr. Appel and then entire staff for taking such wonderful of my Tucker!
At this vet outreach, Mojo came in at 8-9 weeks and they helped with meds for worms. They have helped with all vaccines. All nail clippings and anal expressing. I have gone to this vet for almost 2 years now and for the last year i was driving 35-50 minutes depending on traffic. Since its a far drive I decided to find a new vet and went to cityvet in Bedford. They were extremely rude and if you’re interested in knowing what i have against that place and believe its 1 star rating its on my profile. But I came to the conclusion 35-50 min drive is worth it. I was always treated so well here alongside my dog mojo. They make us feel comfortable. I never should have made the switch. We will be definitely back to outreach for our nail trim & anal gland expression and yearly check ups. I highly recommend this place and its worth any amount of miles/traffic. Prices are way better here than what i paid at cityvet (about $20 cheaper). So go here you wont regret it!!
They are the best. They are so sweet and gentle with all the animals. My cat was very upset and they were so loving and gentle with him. He stayed calm the entire time we were there. They are thorough, let me ask questions, presented solutions. The office is very nice and clean. Prices are reasonable.
It was one of the most heartbreaking moments of my life; we had to say goodbye to our fur baby of 16 years 9 months and 19 days. Community Pet Outreach though was very caring and their professional manner in handling all our needs demonstrated the compassion they must've felt in our grief. They cared for her with all of her medical needs throughout her life, and they helped us to say goodbye. She went to sleep doing what she loved most; eating treats from her family present. If/when the time comes that we get a new fur baby, we will take her to Community Pet Outreach for her lifelong care.
I was only 6 minutes late because I-35 completely shut down, a semi literally caught on fire. Despite explaining the situation, they refused to see my sick dog and told me to come back over two hours later. I live more than an hour away. Any vet with an ounce of compassion would’ve made an exception for a sick animal under those circumstances. Extremely unprofessional, and completely pathetic.
