Cat Clinic of Johnson County

My sweet senior girl, Sally, was ready to cross the rainbow bridge yesterday (2/23/26), at the beautiful old age of 15. I adopted her just two years ago after seeing her in a kennel at Petco. It truly was love at first sight—I knew instantly that she was meant to come home with me. From that very first day, she stole my heart. She was my constant little shadow, following me from room to room, curling up with me in the living room while we watched TV, or keeping me company while I worked from home. In these last few months, Sally was lucky enough to be cared for by the most wonderful vet. Dr. Dechant was incredible—genuine, gentle, and compassionate from the very first appointment all the way through the end. And even the day after, when doubts crept in, they took the time to reassure me and give me peace. Saying goodbye was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but they made the experience as kind and comforting as it could possibly be.

I don’t write reviews very often but I felt I wanted to because they took such great care of our sweet boy. My husband and I just got back from a 17 day vacation and we needed to board our cat because he needs medicine twice a day and someone to watch over him because of his heart condition. We have never had him stay at an overnight clinic and we’re very nervous (I cried when we dropped him off). They were so reassuring and sent picture and text updates about our scared little guy. You could tell they really cared about him during his stay. Will definitely use them if needed in the future❤️

I love bringing my cats here. I truly would not want to take them anywhere else unless I end up moving far away. The employees here are patient, empathetic, understanding and you can tell that each one of them has true love and passion for caring for your fur babies. The atmosphere and energy in the clinic is light and calming. I’ve recommended this place to everyone I know who has cats cause they really are the best.

We had an 8 day trip and needed to board our precious cat Jasmine. We wanted her to get some cuddles and attention, while being realistic that staff don't have unlimited time! But we were so happy that we entrusted her to the Cat Clinic of Johnson County. We got photos and little updates during our absence, which was so comforting to us - and to her! We are SO HAPPY she was there!

What a fantastic cat Vet!! So glad we found them. They are so good and patient with cats and very thorough with their examinations. I've never been to a vet that's given such great care to my cat!! Highly recommend for your cat!! They also gave my boy some treats during his exam. 💚 I feel so confident in my cats care now. I wouldn't recommend any other vet for a cat.

Absolutely wonderful care and service for our cats! They really cared and were gentle and compassionate. The whole place is made for cats and it really shows.

Such a positive experience. Complete 180 from taking my cats to a standard vet. Will only ever take my girls here going forward. 10/10 would recommend.
