Southwest Animal Hospital

We were looking for a vet for our sick dog. We’re so happy with their service and truly cares for the animals they serve. We recently put our dog down and all staff were so attentive, super caring, and very respectful. Their prices are very reasonable as well. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a great vet for their animals.

I just moved to Nevada from Florida- so completely new to the west coast. I was really hesitant on finding a vet here but decided on Southwest as my first vet to try. The experience walking in was delightful, two separate entrances for cats & dogs which was so cool. My fur babes is reactive with small dogs, so they made sure to separate any animals and were so understanding and accommodating. The staff is amazing and the service was incredible from the moment I walked in! Shari (I think is how you spell it) was soo sweet at the front. Danielle, whom I believe is a vet tech, treated my dog with so much love that my dog felt comfortable to fall asleep. There was also a young gentleman who was so kind as well ( I never got his name). Doctor Perron came in and took the time to explain the concerns I had with my dog and even broke it down with science. Honest, genuine & credible! I've never had an experience like that at a vet before and will definitely return as a loyal customer! The prices for an exam, vaccine & medicine are so reasonable and they had little treat goodie bags for your fur babes. Our first experience here was amazing!

I’m pretty sure that you have a great business. And it’s very nice that you replaced the glass bricks a while back and missing letters on your sign that faces west. It’s probably high time to replace your main one now to give it a more professional look, wouldn’t you agree? If every business in the neighborhood stepped up and fixed a few little things, the neighborhood would look a whole lot better. As a condo owner since 2000 in the Flamingo and Jones area it’s a concern of mine.

I took my cat, Fancy Phoenix, to this vet and out of 5 vets, they were the only ones to looked at me as a human being, not just another customer. Fancy was very ill and needed to be put down but they did not gouge me for a ton of money to find out why. They did one small blood test and told me his kidneys are failing. These folks are real people, sensitive, not money gougers like some vets. I will forever bring my animals to them because they are kind to the animals and their owners and they genuinely care. They took me back to my younger years, when it was about the animals, quality, and passion for what they do. Thank you so much for being so kind and understanding, when I was clearly at the end of my rope and could not watch my cat suffer anymore. Took my fur baby Buster here today for our first grooming together since his adoption. And I must say from the moment we walked in the energy was unmatched! I must say I was worried that he’d be turned away because of his age and probably never being groomed before, other than being groomed by the animal foundation before adoption. But she took her time with him and was more than patient without once having to sedate him or turn him away for that matter! I’m forever grateful for Southwest Animal Hospital and their Grooming services and taking such great care of my baby!! You’ve gained a furever client(will update with pics once he’s finished napping as he is a bit worn out😊)💜

I am cautious when taking my Chihuahua to the vet due she is reactive and know will be a task. This place has shown understanding from the initial visit and the was the first to suggest medication, calming tips and just overall education when I was worried. A bonus is they weren’t concerned when spoke of boarding for upcoming vacation. If you are looking for a reliable and kind place, this is a good spot.

You can tell they really care. They're very kind and reasonable with the prices. When my cat passed away they were really respectful and they always take good care of my aging dog.
