We were forewarned that it was going to be a long wait but i am extremely grateful that they were able to see our Bailey as an emergency. The professionalism of the entire staff was incredible. Our regular vet isn't able to handle emergencies due to a recent fire so i was skeptical to try anywhere else. We were kept very well informed in every aspect of our visit and given options and quotes up front which really help with any decisions we had to make.

Appreciate this place! Great staff - compassionate & professional. Two things that would make this a 5/5 review for is: 1: the prices! I hardly think any ER vet needs to charge this much. 2: more follow through at check out as we were there for our dog's ear abscess/infection that ruptured. We were taken care of well and given a no flap head wrap and instructions to wrap the wound and use this head wrap. I was surprised that the nurse/staff did not help wrap her wound and place the no flap wrap for us to go home properly, just handed everything to us to go home. It was just a little stressful getting her home after all that to then have to clean, wrap a wound, and figure out this no flap head wrap without clear instructions nor support. But overall, nice facility and professional.

We are incredibly grateful to the entire team at this veterinary emergency hospital for the exceptional care and compassion they showed us during one of the hardest moments of our lives. Having to make the decision to euthanize our beloved cat Animal was heartbreaking, but the staff treated us—and our cat—with such kindness, patience, and dignity. They took the time to explain everything, never rushed us, and made sure our cat was comfortable and surrounded by love. It was clear that everyone truly cares about both their patients and the families who love them. While we wish we had never needed their services under these circumstances, we could not have asked for more compassionate care. Thank you for helping us say goodbye with peace and grace.

Tonight we were seen for our dog who was limping. Not an urgent emergency but a little background. Our dog has major anxiety in cars so it takes alot of effort for car rides. Plus I didnt want her to be in pain through the night...so we went. All the staff were so nice! When we were in the room some emergent cases did come in and yes while I did just want to get in and get out I completely understand that we would have to wait. We only had to wait about 30-40 mins extra. But the staff kept us informed and were all so nice again. Dr came in diagnosed her, we got our meds and on we went. Not our first time there and wont be our last.

This place is incredible, especially during very difficult times. They have helped me & family, on multiple occasions and have been fantastic every single time! I rushed over with a pup post seizure, needed confirmation she indeed passed away, they rushed out and confirmed she was gone. They quickly helped me when i wasn't sure which one of my elderly babies ate chocolate. They took phenomenal care of them. They are compassionate, professional, and just incredible people.

Last Sunday we brought our precious pup Raven here for help. They quickly gave her pain meds for which we are forever grateful. She had broken her leg as a result of bone cancer that we did not know she had. Everyone was wonderful with her. We are forever grateful for the compassion each staff member and our Doc showed to her as we also had to say our goodbyes. We were lucky enough to have Dr. Bill Lewis & Angela Lewis with us and her. We are so blessed for Lincoln Highway Vet Practice and PETS for helping her through the worst day of our lives. She was the best girl. And they each treated her so well. Thank you all for everything you do each day.

Extremely concerning experience with PETS in Lancaster I brought in my 5-week-old Boston Terrier puppy for possible ear infection/ respiratory symptoms related to aspiration while nursing. He had already been improving on Clavamox prescribed by my regular veterinarian, yet Dr. discontinued it and switched him to plain amoxicillin without clearly explaining the reasoning or reviewing the radiographs with me before abruptly leaving the room. This decision was particularly concerning because veterinary literature notes that respiratory and aspiration-related infections in dogs are often caused by bacteria that produce beta-lactamase enzymes, which can inactivate plain amoxicillin. Clavamox (amoxicillin-clavulanate) is specifically designed to address these organisms and is commonly recommended as an empiric treatment for bacterial pneumonia in dogs. Despite asking staff to have the doctor call me back to discuss the medication change, I received no response for several days. During that time my puppy’s condition worsened significantly and he ultimately went into respiratory distress, requiring another emergency visit costing over $1,200. At that visit, the treatment was switched back to Clavamox, the same medication that had originally been discontinued. Communication from the clinic was poor throughout the process, and I was even told I could not retrieve my dog unless additional payment was made immediately despite already paying a significant deposit. Eventually, their tune changed after I asked for confirmation via email. But these corrosive of tactics were initially attempted. This experience was extremely stressful and raises serious concerns about the medical decision-making, communication, and billing practices at this facility.
