Dr. Purvis and her staff are wonderful with my cats, even if one was a little fractious. My other cat, pictured, had a mass on top of her head. Dr. Purvis got very clean edges when removing so the dermoid cyst she removed won't be coming back! She's very straightforward and tells you what your options are depending on the case, no pushing one way or the other. Pricing is transparent and comparable with other practices. I love that they get you in within a reasonable amount of time and during working hours the phone was always answered promptly. I 10/10 recommend this practice!

We have been bringing our pets here for a while. The staff are so friendly and caring. Dr. Purvis is very knowledgable.

My dog Bella wouldn’t have made it past this weekend if it wasn’t for Hempfield Animal Hospital. Bella was diagnosed with Pyometra Saturday night after being rushed to Pets Emergency. They wanted $6-7000 up front for the surgery she needed. After feeling hopeless and not getting any calls from any place Pets Emergency suggested, Hempfield Animal Hospital came to the rescue. I called Monday afternoon after being referred by a former employee and they got Bella in first thing Tuesday morning at a reasonable price, they understood that Bella was family and not just a dollar sign. Dr Purvis and her staff were the most kind and welcoming people I’ve seen at any vets office. They talked me through step by step what was going on and what would happen. The doctor herself called to update me once Bella woke up. When I picked her up the whole staff was telling me how much they loved Bella. Hempfield Animal Hospital made us feel safe and comfortable and now my baby gets to live! They saved her life! 10/10 experience!

Dr. Purvis is fantastic--so knowledgeable, professional, and kind. I was so impressed with her staff too. They are warmly friendly and clearly so good at what they do. Lori, Dakota and Jennelle could not have been kinder to my little Jack Russell with spinal stenosis and a heart condition. Dr. Purvis took extra time to explain the radiograph to me in ways I could understand and helped me learn how best to care for my elderly boy going forward. I had felt very scared for him but I feel so much better knowing there is a team like this available to help us. So grateful!!!

First time experience today and they were wonderful! They were extremely nice and knowledgeable and my cats liked them.

I have been taking my pups to them for over 15 years. My current crew consists of five rescues, three seniors and two younger guys. The seniors each have medical issues that need cared for on a regular basis. The vet and the staff are amazing and have pulled more than one from the brink of death. Dr. Purvis has a vast knowledge of health care and is willing to work with me to keep them healthy. I enjoy adopting seniors and they generally come with medical challenges. They have always made time to get me in when something crops up and spend whatever time is needed until a plan is formulated. And they are very supportive when I call and say I don’t know what’s wrong but something is going on. They listen, diagnose and help me understand the treatment plan. And when that time comes for them to cross the rainbow bridge they make it the best experience possible. Dr. Purvis and her staff are an amazing team of healthcare professionals and all around great people.

We had to put our 14 year old cat down. The staff was very compassionate and guided us through the process. They were all very caring and we appreciated their thoughtfulness. We highly recommend them.
