I was referred to this specialist by my boyfriend’s boss, who had a wonderful experience here and now I completely understand why. My dog Piper has been dealing with complications following a tick-borne illness and needed more in-depth care beyond our (amazing) primary vet. From the very first phone call with Olivia at the front desk, I felt supported. When we arrived, we were kindly shown to our room and made to feel comfortable right away. Every vet tech we interacted with was thorough and compassionate. And Dr. Garrick was exceptional. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable and detailed, but also genuinely empathetic and mindful during a very stressful time for us. Today Piper had a CT scan, which made me extremely nervous. Once again, the entire team treated us with kindness, professionalism, and grace. From drop-off to pick-up and going over aftercare instructions, the experience could not have been better given the circumstances. I’m honestly surprised by some of the negative reviews, because our experience has been nothing short of outstanding. This is one of the best veterinary experiences I’ve had, and we will absolutely continue Piper’s care here as she works through this illness. Thank you to everyone on the team, Piper and I are incredibly grateful!

Brought my dog in for emergency services due to symptoms of vomiting and low energy and shaky breaths. They were very thorough in explaining pricing, next steps, their recommendations. The front desk person, Jackson, was extremely nice, and authentic in telling us what to expect logistically. He made sure we were in comfort while we were in the lobby waiting for results. Went in with severe anxiety and a sick doggo, and left feeling more peaceful with a tired dog, fully trusting in their recommendations. 10/10 recommend. Update 6/14- we brought my dog back in, who was declining and unfortunately passed away. We were here for 8 hours and the receptionist Tay was amazing and helped us and kept us company and overall amazing. Clara was very nice as well. Genuinely appreciate her, all the other staff, and the care my dog (and honestly us) that we got from this place.

Dr. Fink and the entire team at EVS were nothing short of amazing. Their expertise, communication, and understanding of what we wanted for Toby was there every step of the way. Over the last few months, as our dog Toby battled liver disease, they helped us navigate one of the most challenging experiences of our lives with grace and compassion. We always felt that they cared as deeply as we did. They did what was right for Toby, even when it wasn't easy, and always kept both his wellbeing and our hearts in mind. We are eternally grateful for the way they guided us through his final months. If you are trusting someone with your pet and your family through something hard, you will be in the best hands here. Cara, Ash, and, Dr. Fink- we know Toby thanks you too for everything you did.

Easter Sunday, we had to put our boy down. From the time we walked in, the entire staff was so kind, helpful, and sympathetic to our family. They made this very heartbreaking day a lot easier with the hospitality and kindness they showed to us and our dog. They gave us the time, and compassion that we needed to say goodbye to our sweet boy. He passed away surrounded by his family, and was very comfortable thanks to the staff. I HIGHLY recommend this Hosptial to anyone needing to make that difficult decision. The entire staff, from reception, the nurses and the doctor, they were all amazing! Thank you so much for everything you did for us and our Cashie boy.

Evolution saved my dogs life and I mean that literally. When I was on vacation my dog got fatally sick. Up in Edwards we don't have emergency 24 hour care so the vet told my dog sitter to get to Denver to Evolution. Had my dog sitter not made the drive my dog would have died while I was away. The staff provided amazing care, called me multiple times a day to report how she was doing, and saved her life. There is a lot more to this story but if your pet needs emergency life saving care this is not better place. Kismet says thank you to the staff that cared for her while she was in the ICU!

Update: HE DIED. Besides the review below that I made when I first started taking my cat to EVS... The update is that HE DIED just a few months later from the medicine that the Dr gave him for the least lethal issue that he had going on. She aggressively over treated his thyroid and the IBD treatment medication was so aggressive that it had side effects that shut down his kidneys and he died just a few months later. The love of my life died just 2 months before it's 18th birthday . When we went to EVS he had stage 2 kidney disease after being treated for irritable bowel disease he died just a few months later of kidney failure, because the physician didn't pay attention to the medication she was prescribing was too aggressive for a cat with kidney disease and it caused a kidney injury that shut down his kidneys and he died. Taking my cat to EVS internal Medicine was the worst decision i've ever made. He would still be with me today. The review below was the start of when I started to realize his kidneys were shutting down and I could tell something was very wrong. I thought I was taking to him to the best care I could get him and was forced to go through the emergency room and what followed ended up costing me thousands and thousands of dollars to have his kidney disease accelerated and his life cut short. My sweet baby died from me making the mistake of thinking I was taking him to Specialty Care and getting him the best care available. Original review : They missed diagnosed my pet the amount of prescription that he needed so excessively that it increased his values into Stage 4 kidney disease and he also showed significant symptoms that might include internal bleeding, but are very concerning to the point I have to shift around my schedule on my business day entirely unplanned to be able to bring my pet back in because it's potentially life-threatening. Also I hate seeing my cat feel so sick. Not only did I then feel it was necessary to go through my cat's entire medical history and chart to fully understand what possibly could be happening so that this doesn't continue to happen to him or worse which took hours and hours and caused a very sleepless night.... but I also get to completely cancel hours of my business day that I previously had planned so I can address getting this can address getting this corrected. So that I can address correcting their care for my animal I had to take off more than half of my business that I had planned. However, When I call and say that I'm going to be 15 minutes late they couldn't bother to shift around their schedule. It's perfectly okay that I have to rearrange my entire work schedule for the day and hours worth of multiple meetings but they can't modify and adjust for 15 minutes?? So they sent me through the emergency room for an additional charge for something they caused. With the thousands and thousands of dollars that I have paid because their costs are pretty exceptional you would think that there would at least be reasonable adjustment when I'm coming in to spend my business day and nearly $1,000 today to correct the fragmented and careless care that he's being given. After the thousands and thousands of dollars I have spent at their facility I'm having to come in because of the misdiagnosis of too much medication on their part... completely disrupting my business day and my poor baby not feeling well but they can't be delayed by 15 minutes . Absolutely unreal. The staff is polite , but after I got there they also made no attempt to hurry whatsoever and made me come in through the ER at a higher cost which I had no other option, and also did not bother to hurry so I was at the vet for nearly 5 HOURS! But they couldn't be delayed by 15 minutes... Such an absolute lack of regard for my time and the fact that they cause an emergency where my cat is feeling so awful to the point I'm alarmed I need to come in as an emergency. He's the love of my life so I will stop whatever I'm doing and whatever business I have going on to make sure he's okay.

I would not recommend EVS for your pet’s care. My dog has been seeing Internal Medicine at EVS since 2023. When we first started there, the care was excellent, but over time the quality of care and communication progressively declined. My first major concern occurred when Dr. Fink prescribed a medication that I had explicitly stated my dog could not receive. Due to my dog’s history of IMHA, her original internal medicine specialist advised that she should not be given penicillins because of the potential risk of relapse. I communicated this concern multiple times and specifically asked whether the prescribed medication belonged to that drug class. I was assured that it did not. Later, I discovered that the medication was in fact a penicillin-based drug. When I contacted EVS regarding this issue, I was told that Dr. Fink disagreed with the recommendations of my dog’s original specialist. As a result of this decision, my dog required additional blood work and monitoring to ensure she did not relapse. Following this incident, I made it clear that I did not want Dr. Fink involved in my dog’s care. Imagine my surprise when I later reviewed my dog’s medical records and discovered that Dr. Fink had performed an ultrasound on her without my knowledge. More recently, my dog developed a serious infection that resulted in multiple ER visits. Test results were not adequately explained, and despite confirmation that an infection was present, antibiotics were not prescribed. Instead, I was told to wait for our upcoming Internal Medicine appointment. It ultimately took repeated phone calls and demands to speak with someone before medication was finally prescribed. At another point, EVS recommended reducing the dosage of one of my dog’s regular medications and instructed me to obtain the prescription from an outside pharmacy because they did not have it available. After contacting multiple pharmacies, I discovered that none of them could fill the prescription because it required compounding. I was provided little assistance in locating a pharmacy that could supply the medication and was simply told to continue calling around myself. A diagnostic procedure was later recommended, but EVS was unable to perform it because they did not have the proper equipment. Again, I was largely left to coordinate my dog’s care on my own by contacting other facilities. Communication throughout this process was confusing and inconsistent. I was initially told my dog needed a cystoscopy and was later contacted regarding an endoscopy, a procedure that had never previously been discussed. When I inquired further about this I was told they are the same procedure. They are not I fact the same procedure. I have never had to fight so hard to advocate for appropriate medical care for my dog. I no longer trust that my concerns and instructions will be respected, and I no longer have confidence in EVS’s ability to provide appropriate care. We ultimately transferred her care elsewhere. Within two weeks, her infection was resolved, additional diagnostic testing was completed to rule out Cushing’s disease, and we finally had a clear treatment plan. What EVS was unable to accomplish in nearly six weeks, another hospital accomplished in just two. I want to be clear that not every interaction we had at EVS was negative. There were staff members who were kind, compassionate, and genuinely tried to help my dog. Unfortunately, the repeated communication issues, lack of coordination, medication concerns, and delays in care outweighed the positives. Our recent overall experience left me without confidence in the hospital’s ability to provide the care my dog deserved.
