Super friendly staff, I called them, and an hour later my dogs were getting the shots they needed. They were also super quick, in and out in under 30mins. Vaccine prices for dogs are reasonable too.
We brought our cat in on 4/21 because he was throwing up and wouldn’t eat. They told us we have to put down a $500 deposit so they could do labs and X-rays. They didn’t update me for 7 hours. I had to call up twice to even hear what was going on. We went and picked him up and they never did the x-ray but spent all $500. They said they think he has an infection in his intestines so they prescribed us antibiotics. 2 days later, we were back. He was still throwing up. He wouldn’t eat and threw up water. We drop him off that morning and I got a call at 4:15 and was told they found a string under his tongue. They said his heart rate and body temperature was low and that he had a low chance of surviving if we did surgery. He was left alone for hours while there and deteriorated while sitting waiting for a vet to get to him. I have brought another cat in while sick and they NEVER did to him what they did to this cat. I never had to put down a deposit and it was not a $500 visit for that. The vets failed to properly check my cat the first visit. They failed to help my baby. With the way this went, it feels as though they are in it for the money.
They are not transparent about pricing at all. I went to get my cat basic shots and the first visit was around $180. During the exam the vet asked if I would like for her to clip his nails. Thinking this would be included in the cost of the visit, I said yes just to save myself some time at home. It took her less than a minute to complete, and she cut too far back & made my cat bleed. But, my main issue was that upon looking at my bill I noticed I was charged $20 for a "pedicure". I was charged $20 for something that took under a minute and that I could have honestly done at home. Had they made it clear that a fee would be added, I would have declined. Who would think they'd be charged for something so simple? At another visit I prepaid for a neuter, and upon picking my cat up they tried to charge me an additional $50, saying I should have been charged this at first. Although they are nice enough, due to the issues with fair pricing, I will not be returning and I do not recommend this clinic.
Animal Medical Center and Dr. Zachary have been a Godsend for us! We have a puppy that has had several medical issues and she has gone above and beyond to take care of our little guy. Her compassionate and kindness are unmatched! All of the staff are always so friendly and accommodating. Pricing has been very reasonable.
Dr. Free is kind and compassionate towards our dog. She gives me information to make the best decision regarding care when issues arise. I trust her advice. The staff is trained and efficient. I RECOMMEND this vet clinic to anyone who needs good vetcare!
Animal Medical Center has taken care of my pets since Dr Huff performed emergency surgery on my cat nearly thirty years ago. Dr Huff has retired, but the veterinarians continue to provide excellent service. Reception, technicians, and office staff are professional. I can’t imagine using another Veterinary Clinic.
I’ve been taking my Doberman, Rosie, to AMC for her checkups and shots, and I’ve had a great experience so far. The process is simple and organized — you check in, a staff member picks up your pet, and they take them to the back for the day. They call with updates throughout the process and always make sure you approve any new charges before moving forward. Once everything is done, they call again to let you know your pet is ready for pickup, and you can pick up anytime before closing, which is extremely convenient. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with all my questions. I always feel like Rosie is in good hands when I leave her there. Highly recommend AMC for anyone looking for reliable and caring veterinary services.
