Orange Park Animal Clinic at Oakleaf

I cannot recommend this place enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive, efficient, and incredibly kind — my cat stayed relaxed and purring the entire visit, which says everything about how calm and caring the environment is. Yes, emergency vet care isn’t cheap, but they waived the first exam fee, which I really appreciated. And the results speak for themselves — my baby was already noticeably better within 24 hours. If your pet ever needs urgent care, don’t hesitate. I’d absolutely come back.

This is the most caring, considerate, polite, and understanding group of professionals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Our sweet Roxy passed away recently. OPAC was there for us right after she was hurt. Poor girl had arthritis, bad knees, skin issues, and a hurt leg. We had her for eleven terrific years. A tear is swelling up as I write this even. Roxy was the best, she would always warn us of intruders daring to walk on her sidewalk outside. She made sure we knew leftovers were for her. She was always ready for a pet and a hug. She got us up for walks, was great in the woods, just an overall great dog! When the time came to make the decision, OPAC was ready with understanding, tissues, and patience. They were able to make Roxy and my daughter very comfortable. They gave us all the time we needed, before and after. The most amazing thing though, was the thoughtful and considerate condolence card we got a few days later. The staff actually signed it. this was not a fake computer generated anything. This was the real deal! They took time to say kind words. We cried again reading it. 🙂 These people will give you the best value, the most caring and considerate of any Veterinarian clinic I have ever been to. If you live in Oakleaf, this is your new vet! They are there for you from puppies to seniors! We love them.

My 10 year old lab suddenly injured (what I thought) was his hip on a Friday evening and we we're able to get an appointment set for Saturday afternoon - even as a first time client. All of the staff we interacted with were super kind and helpful and Dr. Gillen was amazing. Very knowledgeable and communicative! We were able to get everything to help my boy's back feel better within less than 24 hours of the initial signs of a problem and for a reasonable price. 10 out of 10 would recommend this clinic to anyone! 🐾

Dr. Gillen and his staff were absolutely amazing when we chose him to continue care for our cat Taiga, until her passing. He was able to diagnose her condition correctly, and with his help, we were able to make the best decisions for Taiga. Although she is no longer with us, I wanted to acknowledge the incredible support and understanding that was presented to us during our loss. Dr. Gillen’s kindness continues to stay with us, even after a year of losing our Taiga.

It was my first visit here, I took my four year old doodle mix to get a hot spot and his ears checked out. The doctors were very kind, gave my dog treats, and were gentle and slow to interact at first. They provided excellent recommendations for his issues. The best part about this visit, that stands out from all others, is the assistant showed me exactly what they would be charging me for, and even allowed me to confirm / deny treatments. I will absolutely return for any future issues. Thank you Orange Park Animal Hospital!

Very very very!!!!!!! Nice caring people. I'm traveling from nc and my dogs tungue was hanging out, she was dead weight when picked her up and she was tripping when walking. They were really busy and since I was 40 min away she ask what rd I was on and found me a vet half the distance. All she cared about was making sure I got my baby girl to a good vet as fast as possible even if they didn't get the business. She didn't have to do any of that, especially knowing they were not gonna get paid if I went somewhere else. I hope I'm never 10 hours away from home again and need a pet er but if I ever am I hope it's close to these guys. BTW if the girl who helped happens to see this mika had a seizure and it was just one that was different but she's back to herself. Thank you so much for everything. I'm still at the vet with her but she's trying to escape so her meds kicked in and have her acting like my baby girl again

**Update to my review. Dr Gillen is the absolutely best vet in the world. They help in any way that they can. They get my animals in as quickly as possible. My roommate and I have quite a bit of animals and they are extremely accommodating. I had to have one of my rescue cats put down and he made the process as easy as possible. I thank him every time I go in. He’s meant to be a vet, a lot of people are in it for the money or to just have a good career, you can tell he has a passion for it. I greatly thank you Dr Gillen and will continue to come to your practice and recommend you to anyone that I know. I’ve been through 4 vets down here in the past year, Orange Park is the absolute BEST. Would not go anywhere else, even if someone paid me to. They are absolutely fantastic, patient and amazing with animals (especially my overly anxious dog, Letti). They listen to you as well, if there’s a certain way that Letti needs them to do something, they will gladly try it. Never had I ever had a vet that will work with my Letti like this place does.
